I know Hooker has great numbers, but i cant see him getting drafted very high. I could be wrong, but i would think anybody that cares about him will tell him to go enjoy his shot at being an SEC superstar for another year and his stock will likely rise.

I mean if he was gonna be a no doubt 1st rounder i get it. But why go just to be a mid round pick and hold a clipboard a year sooner? Especially when you can get NIL money now. That opportunity will still be there for him next year and he has a chance to rise up boards a lot with another year in this offense.

SMH...I am concerned that a lot of folks are going to super disappointed.
But think of this - if we merely hold par - it would be a 7-9 win team. This was in no way a 5 loss team - just a bit unlucky/garbage calls in a few games. We absolutely disposed of everyone else. Just flip our .500 games and all we need to do is hold steady.

That's what I'm hoping for, because yeah from a talent perspective it's hard to see us getting much better given our likely losses.

On the other hand i can see why you would want to strike while the iron is hot. But feels like a big opportunity to actually sneak into the 1st or 2nd round with another great season under his belt.

He’s 24 though. I’m sure it’s easier to take that late round money when you’re that old

He would have 750,000 reasons to hold a clipboard.

And though it feels like he could use another year - it's also hard to imagine how much he can improve. He's literally #4 in QBR and the OL and WRs could take a step back.

Thats a good point. He may be ready to move on. I doubt the NFL was in his mind going into this season. May be too good to pass up.

I just worry he is gonna tumble way farther down draft boards than we expect. Its a tough decision for sure.

I personally think he needs to be able show on film the ability to hit more deep balls and using the middle of the field. One more year could see his stock really take off.

That could be true. He will also get a full offseason as the entrenched starter.

QBR is a nice stat but you can watch us play and see that we have guys open all over the place and we're winning with tempo. He is playing great. But thats not likely what he will get in the NFL.

I think system questions will probably follow him around and sink his perceived value. He's an incredible person and player though and think he would find a role eventually.

Maybe im just being a homer. Just feels like the dream college opportunity is right in front of him and next year could be really special. I would think that plays into his decision.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t, for me I think I would go original if possible. But you do whatever you think. I’m not sure if there’s laws about how many you can have in a magazine while deer hunting?
I’m not sure. I can’t find an original anywhere online. I also know gun nerds like involuntary… I’m hesitant to borrow 😂

Curious how Hookers numbers compare to Drew Locks his last year. Lock went in the 2nd round. I think the NFL values mobility at the position more and more. He could be fine. We'll see. Its a tough call.

Yep, in the new NIL era one could make more with right deal than a low round draft pick.
