I dont want to give Farrell too much credit because he is a predator but I cant say predicting 4-8 was that outside of the norm. A lot of our fans were predicting that as well.
Predicting 4-8 was fine, but then he acted like we should have won 9 games a couple weeks ago. He makes it seem like we underachieved when he predicted 4 wins.

I had us 4-8. Worried about depth and was doubtful on Heup.

Depth was an issue but Heup and crew delivered.
I said if we had significant lingering injuries to any of the OL starters or a couple of other positions that 4-8 was the probability because I was cognizant of the extreme depth problem...

They completely blew my expectations away, and that is why I think any hyper critical posts are stupid af.

I felt like we'd win 3 of our OOC and at least 2 or 3 SEC games. So we were really a game ahead of my prediction pre-season.

I think the way we fought/played Pitt & Ole Miss was the biggest surprise for me. And also giving Alabama a tough game for 3 quarters. The only game I felt just disappointed was the Florida game, but first time in the swamp and Cade missing we kind of never really got to do what we do. They always seem to benefit more from when we play that game than we do, maybe this next season them coming to Knoxville with a new coach and us (hopefully) returning Hooker/Tillman & others we can put a proper beating on them.

Finished 8-4 in my book! Records don’t show it, but a cheating Kiffin and crooked refs cost us ole piss game! Not calling it a moral victory, but we won that game and it was taken from us!
Anyone disagrees, meet me at Waffle House, and be sure to take pics of the prking lot! I’ll be there when you’re not and say I was!!😂

Thoughts from the game about future players.

Jaylen Wright has improved a ton this year. He went from being unplayable to looking much more solid as the year went on. I think he’ll have a bright future.

Omari Thomas I predict is gonna be a top lineman in the SEC next year. He’s only gonna get better and better under RG.

I have no idea what that means.

Pat was special to all of us, we will never have another. Kellie was a good hire.
I hate to say it but was Pat really that special? She won at least half of her championships(if not more)when her biggest competition was Old Dominion and Louisiana Tech.I will give her due diligence in that she is the main reason women’s basketball is what it is today.

The Pitt game was just as big of a ref screw job. They handed them that game too.

I called 7-5 and was promptly told my expectations were too high.

2021 by the numbers

Final Averages for the Team: (per game)

Passing- 65.2%, 18.1 cmp, 27.8 att, 247.1 ypg, 2.3 tds, 0.3 ints
Rushing - 42.8 atts, 211.5 ypg, 4.9 ypc, 2.4 tds, 0.8 fums

Total Offense: 70.5 plays per game, 458.6 yards per game and 38.8 ppg (9th in the country)

Only 3 teams held us under 400 total yards. Pitt, Georgia, Bama
Only failed to score 21 or more in 2 games all season, Florida (14) & Georgia (17)

Defense gave up 27.5 ppg and 404.6 yards per game averaging 77.5 plays a game with only 1.1 turnovers a game

Would for sure like to see the defense on the field 70 plays or less a game and generating 2 or more turnovers a game on average. While holding teams to 24 or less ppg. That still wouldn't be "elite" numbers necessarily, but it'd be a big improvement and help us win even more games.

In Heupel's best UCF season they were at 22.7 ppg and 2.2 turnovers per game on defense so if we're producing similar numbers here no reason to think we couldn't win 10 or more games doing it.

I remember getting excited the first time he squared up in the hole and just unloaded on the RB. Until then he was a side tackler and would grab high most of the time. I agree, it's great to have stats, but stats don't win games. Plays (calls) done well win games on both sides of the ball.
I remember that too...I was like "where has this been the last three years?"

I agree, 8-4 in my book. Refs stole the Ole Miss game from us.

WTF?? YES!!! PAT WAS REALLY THAT SPECIAL!!!

I feel like we may need to meet at the Waffle House so I can knock the tee total piss out of you for asking such a mind-numbingly stupid question.
