I’d still hire Mullen. He did fine at Miss State with decent talent. Pay a couple big time recruiters in staff and let him work. Don’t need a ton of talent in the ACC

I keep seeing Napier is a great recruiter. Is this true? I know nothing about his recruiting history. Seems he should do well enough just loading up on 3star Louisiana kids at Lafayette.

Napier can recruit the roster better but I doubt he will coach better than Mullen. The writing was on the wall. Players and admin knew Mullen didn’t want to be there and tried to quit them and leave and he missed on jobs. They were going to quit as soon as adversity hit.

He couldn’t recruit at UF. At MSU, he feasted on instate talent and maybe the best juco system in the country. All you have to do is look at his classes through the years at MSU. Couldn’t even get AJ Brown to come from Starkville HS. Just saying they won’t replace a bad recruiter with a bad recruiter. VTech should not be behind Duke, WF, BC, Syracuse, Pitt in recruiting.
