This seems pretty weak by today's standards:

As long as LSU's athletics director continues to be Scott Woodward, Kelly would owe the school money if he terminates the deal without cause. If Kelly leaves LSU without cause before Dec. 31, 2022, he would owe the school $4 million. If Kelly leaves in 2023, he would owe $3 million. After that, he would owe $2 million. If Woodward is no longer LSU's AD, then Kelly will not be subject to any payment to the school for leaving.

there is nothing especially nuanced in either of the USC or LSU contracts that have been released

it's just big money, and lots of it, which is impressive in its own right. but all these other terms are kind of whatever

They’ve went from Beamer and Venables to Matt Rhule. If they wait much longer they’ll be calling Belichick.

So Jaylen Wright ran 22.3 mph in practice once he got here. And he claims he's been timed at 4.28 in the 40.

Jaylen's fastest 100m time is 10.85 (that's nearly 0.4 slower than Sampson).

And the 60m translates more to the 40 time than the 100m speed. So a guy with 10.48 100m and a 6.9 60m (indoors = harder) is very easily going to be a 4.3 40 type guy. Like Sampson's speed is potential "record breaking NFL combine" speed already...straight outta HS.

As bumpy as the last 5 years of Vol football have been, they still aren’t as miserable as that 2010-2013 stretch, when our teams were sooo sloowww. It was painful to watch.

We had decent speed this year, and it sounds like much more is on the way. Good times!

Brother, I’m just a VFL that knows some folks from my years within the confines of Football.

But to answer some of yalls questions…

YES it’s great to be a Vol rite now.
NO JH isn’t going anywhere.
YES we have commits, a couple are waiting for certain dates to pop.
YES, in my option we will finish Top 15 recruiting.
YES I think Hooker and Tillman come back

I’ve always tried to bring some crumbs of info to the board but some stuff you just can’t divulge, either due to not wanting to ruin a kids moment or just people flat out telling me not to say a word.

And then some posters are just rude and I don’t wanna get into words with people on a message board and that’s why I disappear sometimes.

But I’m always around and I’ll always BLEED ORANGE.

A big orange tank… I wonder if metalvolunteers avatar is a subtle hint Tank Bigsby is coming to town...

I really think that if they whiff on their top 2-3 guys, the AD, boosters, everyone around that program will basically beg Stoops to see them through the transition into the SEC and slide a blank check across the table. I know he was committed to his retirement but things could get ugly/desperate.

Coach leaves on a whim to USC. Fans melt down. Recruits and players follow him out west. Administration desperate.

This sounds like a job for Derek Dooley to fix!
