Oh well it's all legal now. We're probably going to stay with 6 or 8 teams that have a chance at the playoffs . Just hope we have enough NIL money and the right QB to compete ..Speaking of the last SEC West program that had suspiciously great recruiting years and beat Saban. Whatever happened to that guy?
Anywhere in the top 20 does it as long as we have good evaluators/developers…… people want to skip steps and become Georgia and Alabama over night…. We need to become a solid football team with good depth that is consistently at/near the top of the second tier of teams in the SEC…. Then we will be ready to move up to being like Alabama and Georgia’s of the world…. It’s a process.
The ESPN 30 for 30 episode on SMU (Pony Express) was very good. The extent of cheating by the Southwest Conference was surprising. So Eric Dickerson was given a maroon trans am by A&M. He then flipped over to SMU. Pissed off the A&M boosters, but what could they do? Pretend that they didn’t know where the car came from.
If you don’t think that texas boosters and Aggie boosters weren’t major players in the SMU death penalty debacle, then I would like to talk to you about a great investment opportunity. Bring your friends…![]()
I would have paid money to be there during that discussion! Can't imagine..Long story short.........
family from Japan moved to Jackson, TN when I was about 14 and did some business with my dad, and his daughter was in my class. Family's grandfather was Zero Fighter pilot that attacked Pearl Harbor that day. They had us over for dinner one night............and we listened to their grandfather and my grandfather talk about that day from their own perspectives. It was one of the most memorable moments of my life.
Well, I'm pretty sure that his wife could take one look at that public video and say, "That's not my husband". So, other than the initial shock of someone telling you your husband is cheating with a cheerleader, it probably didn't cause much more of a stink than that.I like how everyone attacked Pete and then it wasn't even him, but do you see anyone apologizing to him or his wife for the **** storm they stirred up?
I don't understand the appeal of Texas A&M. They had a mediocre season propped up by an unlikely win against Alabama. They don't have a strong legacy of winning either in their overall program or through Jimbo (who's only had one really relevant, good team that I can recall). Their military-centric culture would likely be a huge turnoff for a lot of these players, and they are still considered "little brother" in their own state. Is it really just the money they're connecting players with through NIL?
Someone help me see what I'm missing here...
LMFAO. Dumbasses. That's a pretty egregious mistake, but, not surprising considering the source. Shame on them, serves em rightNope, Jake Long (the guy in the video and holding the Cheerleader) is just a single former player turned graduate assistant.
Social media ran with saying it was Pete Golding the married Alabama DC.
I thought that before too. But if their eventual plan is 12 teams, then that easily leaves room for 1-2 G5 teams, so it may be a moot point by then.
