Everyone keeps talking about Kiffin taking all these jobs and yet, with all of these jobs that were open, he was never called. He was never considered. Dude is only an elite coach on VN
I'm not saying Lane is elite but he seems to be the type that wears out his welcome in the Coach O mold. I think Lane is a mercenary that can take someone else's offense and make them better than they were. Offensively he is a great mind, I just think if he stays too long everything implodes when he's in control. In the SEC, I don't think that model is very sustainable. If he goes to a weaker conference he can sustain it more because a lower tier program will win 8-11 games with him at the helm and be happy. In the SEC 8 wins and you're more than likely on the hot seat.

He needs to swallow his pride and be an OC. He doesn't have the personality to be a HC

Alabama/Saban now know what to do to beat Georgia and if they meet in the finals, they will beat them again. I am not sure thay, Georgia, will beat Michigan to make it to the finals.

You have way more confidence in Bama than I do. They lost to the #23 team in the country and have 3 1 score wins against unranked teams. Any of the 3 teams in the playoffs can beat them if they play like they did in those games. I'm not saying UGA will win (I think Michigan might beat them too) I'm just saying their fans should reserve their anger for after they lose, not before.

I'm hoping for a Michigan / Cincinnati championship game.

If I could pick the winner I wanted from the 4, I would like for Cincinnati to win it all this year. I don’t like any of the other three.

I'm still kind of excited to see what the TEs look like next year.... anyone else?

Also WR could be pretty wide open, especially if Tillman leaves for the draft.

Ya gotta hope some of these guys that are Juniors (Keyton) or Sophomores (Hyatt, Calloway, Holiday, Coby) really figure it out and don't portal out. Marley and Merrill should be names to watch as well.

Well it looks like today is my last day as semi-VN insider… my guy is finishing up at UT and is heading to chiropractor school in December.. For @HoleInTheRoof …. The person DW missed was a sports medicine intern/assistant…. The reason why I didn’t have as much info on Tuesday through thursdays was bc he had classes during scheduled practice time. I may still get info from time to time due to connections he has made but nothing like before. Go Vols!
He coming down to Life for the DC program?

Nixon and Campbell should be a really exciting duo assuming they develop.

I also think a guy with Bell's size will be hard not to see in the lineup. Warren will be the no. 1 I think but if any of those highly rated guys can develop we could see a lot of benefit from it. A TE like Georgia's Bowers that can act as a WR too would be killer for us, could run even faster tempo having a TE that could spread out just as well as play at the line.

Keyton came on pretty well at the end of the season after Payton went out against Georgia, but he doesn't have that extra gear to just turn on and leave the Dbs in the dust

Yeah Keyton can fit that Tillman/JJ type role well though. Big body who just makes the catches.

I feel like Calloway or Holiday (maybe one of the freshmen too, not seen enough to know yet) probably fit that catch & run away from people extra gear category more.

Hyatt is the wild card, he almost seems to need to build up speed to really have that extra gear, if I was him I'd get the staff to let me spend some time with the track & field team learning how to explode out of my break.
