And with our schedule they would win like 5 or 6 maybe. There’s really no difference in the two teams except for their coach has been building for yrs and ours has been here 20 minutes. Yet Pitt is still only barely ahead at best.Just basing it on my own estimated 2021 potential finish. I can see Pitt winning 7 or 8 games and us winning 5. I would consider 6 wins to make you an average team but these are just my own categorizations.
100% listening to John Ward in the 90s is why I'm a Vols fan today. Here's one for the older fans. A Saturday where you listen to John Ward on the radio and watch the game on TV or you and your buds riding the back roads and listening to John Ward call the game on the radio......didn't get much better than that back in the day.
When all were looking for a passing attack the Vols devolved to a running attack fueled by well-oiled blocking schemes and well conditioned prepared players. Seems to me this team likely has a lot more fire power under the hood and the coaches have just punched the pedal for a burst here or a burst there. And that's just the take on offense. The spacing & tackling on D looked strong and pointed to superior coaching as well. Am ready to see this team go a full quarter mile with the pedal full-on down. If successful it'll be ready for the 500 mile circuit.Come on now. They chose to be one dimensional during a game where a team had a 3 man front all day long.
That's call coaching.
I wouldn't call any team one dimensional based on 1 game. Now if we show that pattern for 4-5 games in a row then sure.
I had asked that earlier today but he hasn’t replied back yet…. Will let you know when I do@volbeast33 - who were the starting five on OL with Coop probably out?
they need to catch the balls thrown to them and quit with the drops.OL needs to hold up. Hyatt and Jones are going to need BIG games.
We need to force turnovers on defense and be ultra aggressive.
The listen to a Ward call from the woods will never be surpassed. Here's one for the older fans. A Saturday where you listen to John Ward on the radio and watch the game on TV or you and your buds riding the back roads and listening to John Ward call the game on the radio......didn't get much better than that back in the day.
