A lot of people see Nolen as a sure fire recruit. I haven't really been that impressed with him. I don't think he's bad, but I don't think he's as good as people say. Hopefully he lives up to the hype, wherever he goes, except for when he plays us.Exactly
So tired of hearing about them. It honestly doesn’t even bother me where they end up.
They tried to make a feeler. Even Golesh was trying to figure it out. TCU blew anything suggested out if the water. He already had like enough but they want him to stay and offered more. Also Nolen walked because they couldn't get that deal done either. Like you have to read between the lines. These kids wanted to go to UT but they weren't coming for free like any other top tier jid is not. In order to compete like Bama and UGA you have to do as they do. In this current time UT was not ready to step up ro the plate. The kid didn't come in on a visit because they came to Nashville. I have proof and have validated myself with who I want to. Again I say this Spyre doesn't have a clue and are learning on the job while claiming they know what/how to do it. That's a lie.
TN being behind on NIL I can believe. But Im not sure Spyre is the one to blame. If I remember correctly some other schools have signed on to use them as well. They can only offer what they are told they can offer. Its more on TN and its weak admin then it is Spyre. They tried to make a feeler. Even Golesh was trying to figure it out. Nobody is saying that at all.So next year’s championship game will consist of Texas A&M with Nolan and then possibly ole miss with evans is what I have learned from this thread…….
Glad our coaches don’t give up when they miss on two guys especially one that has been a probleM in the past
I bet saban has already forfeited next years game against jimbo
Its not going to happen. The AA has no legs to stand on.All things considered; I understand why we're not pushing the boundaries with NIL. We're still under investigation. But we can't act like it's not hurting us either. The landscape has changed, and we're trailing behind in an abundance of caution. I'd love to see some schools actually get busted for breaking NIL rules, like TAMU.
Unless Tennessee lands a few big time players out of the portal, they’re not contending for the east next year. Probably looking at 7 or 8 wins, and at best a second place finish in the east.I remain utterly amazed with what Heupel has done
With Hooker back we will be a preseason top ~20 team and a contender for the East.
In year 2
After Pruitt basically burned this place to the ground
I think a company or private entity can present an NIL directly to a player, without contingencies related to attending a particular university. The University can not present the NIL from the business to the player, but the player can consult with the University on how to handle the NIL. I believe most universities have programs set up to assist students/athletes with navigating NILs.Not here to bash. Truly don't know and am confused by the NIL rules. From what I gather is it not illegal for an offer to be contingent on a kid signing with a particular school and also illegal for the university to have anything to do with the offer? That's where my confusion comes from when I hear statements like "TCU blew anything suggested out of the water". Is that shady or not? If even potentially shady, with the shyte UT is in over the last staff wouldn't it be beyond stupid to tread in murky waters?
We are fine at RB…. May go for a difference maker when available like Evans but we will be fine at RB…. We do need to improve depth on defense and the offensive line.I mean, it's fine to say screw this player or that player for going elsewhere, but we still need a RB to fill the hole left by Tiyon Evans, and we still need more DL talent. You always want the best. It's why we're fans. And this team has holes that need to be filled. (TWSS)
