A lot of people see Nolen as a sure fire recruit. I haven't really been that impressed with him. I don't think he's bad, but I don't think he's as good as people say. Hopefully he lives up to the hype, wherever he goes, except for when he plays us.

I think it because it’s been talked to death and we are on the outside looking in. Feels the same way after the nfc/afc championship games and you have 2 weeks of media covering the same crap on 12 stations.

I think a company or private entity can present an NIL directly to a player, without contingencies related to attending a particular university. The University can not present the NIL from the business to the player, but the player can consult with the University on how to handle the NIL. I believe most universities have programs set up to assist students/athletes with navigating NILs.

Yeah, that's similar to what I thought. It just does not seem that is what is happening. I suppose the private entity could require that the player sign 1st by not making the contract official until after signing day but then it seems is still basically buying a class, especially if the university is giving any input at all. Not naive enough to think such deals have not always happened but if are presenting them as being legitimately legal now it seems to me that a lot of these deals are illegal at worst and fishy at best. Given UTs current state of being investigated I don't see how they can do anything at the moment but tread very lightly. Nothing but a fan here with no inside knowledge and only my understanding of the current rules. Idk? GBO!

I agree. When you compare him to the other 5* that flipped to them from Okie, there's literally no comparison. That guy is ready to go, while Nolan needs to lose the fat and gain some conditioning.

Again youre putting words in peoples mouths. Top 4 no, but top 10 ish yes. Like I said to someone else a bad 5* is usually at least serviceable. A bad 3* never sees the field. We need Evans and Nolen but we need multiple of them at each position.

Lost to the only QB (Paul Horning) with at losing record to win Heisman. It was a 2-8 Notre Dame team.

Johnny was screwed out of it too. Yes, Jim Brown was more deserving, but given the time period, that wasn't happening. Majors absolutely deserved it over Hornung that year.

I mean, it's fine to say screw this player or that player for going elsewhere, but we still need a RB to fill the hole left by Tiyon Evans, and we still need more DL talent. You always want the best. It's why we're fans. And this team has holes that need to be filled. (TWSS)

Dont forget that its only December. Lot of folks will hit the portal we havent even considered yet. Some won't happen until after Spring practice. We're gonna have to wait and see.

The recruiting game has changed forever. There is no urgency to be the first to fill your roster up. This is gonna keep evolving throughout the off-season. We are in an excellent spot to make our class way better as time goes on.
