We don't know what's significant. I was told Nolan would require 6 figures/year. I bet the biggest NIL deals we'll see are low 5 figures for our guys. I think we're playing with a different deck of cards.
So you're speculating? Not critical, I was just wondering if you had heard something. The difference is that you are paying for Nolan possibly becoming good. Hooker and Tillman have proven it. If Hooker was on a top 10 QB board, then he was probably looking at a top 5 round pick. Josh Dobbs was a 4th round pick and signed a 4 year, $3 million deal with $600k guaranteed. Hooker is getting something significant to stay.
Let me guess, he wants to date your daughter and he knows you are a huge Vol Fan.Okay, so my daughter told me that the Southlake kicker/punter wants to go to Tennessee. For the season missed one extra point (made close to 70). Missed on 46 yard FG. Made a 55 yard FG. Multiple punts over 60 yards. Averaging mid 40s. Routinely kickoff through the end zone. Southlake scores so much, he gets lots of kick offs.
On a side note, they got manhandled by Duncanville yesterday. Was pretty brutal. Of course, I think that the State final opponent North Shore is gonna now destroy Duncanville.
One funny thing about the game yesterday was a DB for Duncanville got called for holding or pass interference on all but two passes that he defended. Like 7 penalties and he would throw his hands up like he didn’t do anything and they were all blatant! If I were Southlake’s OC, I would have gone at him every play for 10-15 penalty yards until the coach pulled him. Then gone at the backup…
And that’s a sustainably winning culture to retain the best already on campus.Yep, I have said that we needed to throw advertising money at current players to keep them, and that’s not in violation of making an offer to secure a recruit. Hooker and Tillman needed 6 figure offers, and it appears they are getting them. This is another part of the analysis about recruits just taking the best deal they get offered. If you go to UT, at least offensive players and the DL will get developed. If you show out in one year (see Hooker and Tillman), you will get even better deals.
Doc, you can afford more than a kicker. Buy us some defense!Okay, so my daughter told me that the Southlake kicker/punter wants to go to Tennessee. Pretty sure I recall seeing Hooker in the $500k range. I’d be shocked if we had anyone over $1M til the NCAA is out of our hair completely, which takes us out of the Evans sweepstakes most likely. We don't know what's significant. Any of you morans have any experience with air fryers? Im thinking about purchasing one for Christmas. Looking for one of the bigger ones, just don’t know which I should purchase. I’ve been reading reviews and have no idea which way to go here
