Crazy this guy was 215 outta highschool and playing at 270 now

Not really. Back in the 60's our high school QB was 6'2" and weighed 180. I played on our basketball with him---the dude was into all sports. Long story short, I joined the Air Force after high school and when I got out 4 years later I picked up the sports page and saw that the Saints had drafted this dude as a center---6'4" 280 :):). Roids will do wonders for your body if getting big is your goal.

Yep - next year the light's gonna come on for Guarantano - he just needs good coaching - Tennessee couldn't see his value and coach him up - that's why he will be a star at Washington State.

Guarantano and above average results should never be used in the same sentence.
He never stood a chance with the coaches he had and his own inflated ego.

I am not sure why you think that. His reputation as a recruiter within the conference is tremendous. You could possibly argue that the reason he has put so many kids in the league is because he has recruited at such a high level. However, he has to have some development skills to go along with that. It is not orange glasses for me. It is simple numbers. I would like to know who you think is better in the conference. I am legitimately interested.
I'm assuming you know the definition of consensus, so I'm wondering why you would care about my personal opinion. Who cares what I think, I don't study football coaching for a living. My statement was that every recruit and coach and football industry person does not assume it a given that Garner is the best DL coach and will give any given recruit the best chance to make it to the NFL. And there is plenty of evidence that lots of other schools are really good at putting DL in the league. So saying Nolen is making a conscious decision to sacrifice the best possible coaching in favor of short term NIL money is asinine.

Or I don't sit on VN to make sure I respond to every post in less than one hour's time? I have no idea who is better or who might be better. Get a life man.

I do know that until he came here, I never saw a single post from anyone saying Auburn had the best DL coach in the country. In fact, I saw plenty of people saying he simply benefited from getting top recruits like Carl Lawson and Montravius Adams to make his resume look better.

I also know that we aren't easily getting every single top DL recruit. In fact, we're not really getting any of the top DL recruits. If Garner were the consensus best DL coach in the country and everyone knew it, we'd probably have quite a few more.

You guys have sour grapes that a recruit chose another school over us, so you're making ridiculous statements like "he just jeopardized his NFL career to make NIL money."

If your knowledge of Coach Garner is that limited, perhaps you shouldn't comment about him. Dude has been an ace recruiter and ranks as one of the best DL coaches (seriously top 5 in the nation by anyone's count) for the past decade plus. He's been a thorn in our side since he left UT and went to UGA and Auburn. Glad he's back.

I have to agree-- Garner is definitely very good and knows what he is talking about, but I don't see all these DL knocking on our door at this point... You can't argue though that our DL definitely has improved since he got here compared to the last staff...

Perhaps you should expand your vocabulary. I said he isn't the consensus best DL coach in the country. It has nothing to do with my opinion on his abilities.

I personally think he's great. But it's orange glasses to think every coach and recruit and player in college football has crowned him the best.

I know everyone is excited about recruiting and the upcoming holidays but i need to vent a little and ask a couple questions for the ones who may know. So after a week the investigation wrapped up, the bank finally puts the money back that was stolen out of our account only to find out the funds are frozen and my account restricted due to it being compromised. The bank needs me to send them a copy of my drivers liscense front/back, most recent utility bill proving my identification is what they have on file. After that they are gonna send me a hard copy check of the amount owed and could take up to 14 business days. I told the bank if they made it this hard for the hackers to get my money it woulda never gotten stolen. My question is this protocol for it to be so hard to get my money back and to take this long? I know its a long shot but is there any legal action that can be taken??Im the only income for my family and this has almost crippled us with my next paycheck still a week away.

Sorry for such a long post.
You could get an independent credit card, but that honestly might take longer than just waiting for account to come back.

Do you know how your account was hacked? Was it through your debit card?

In a ranking of DL coaches prior to the 2021 season he was ranked 2nd (behind Larry Johnson) in all of CFB. That's not 'Orange Colored Glasses'. I'm not sure the issue is with my vocabulary.

This entire board drooled over him even when he was at Auburn. Definitely think the fact support him being one of the top 1-3 DL coaches in college football. There is always orange glasses evaluation of coaches on here but this isn’t one of them.

Saw some people talking about this while internetting. . . it's crazy that there are natural ways to fight most chemical dependencies and they are so hard to find. Apparently this plant can eliminate the withdrawal symptoms of alcohol and opioid dependents. Crazy, it could help a ton of people, but not many know about it. . .

Kratom has kept me off pain pills for the super aggressive arthritis that I started to develop this year. It's really a freaking miracle.

You clearly still don't know what the word means.

Yeah and I look at it like one of the original replies, tho. Absolutely wrong but they were never going to give it to Brown, still a few years before that would even be considered.

Horrible, of course but that means it was always between Majors and Hornung. And so began the era of anybody but TN.
Very true…..
I just didn’t want anyone to think I omitted Majors by not knowing the ND bias. :)

You typed all that and still cant name a DL coach who s better but you do know that he is not all that great. Since you are saying he simply benefited from getting top recruits makes his resume look better, so we can say the same thing about Saban that he is not that great because he gets the top talent? Have you ever thought about the reason Tn is not getting the top recruits on either side of the ball is the damage that especially Pruitt and the UT admin. has done for the last years and 1 coach or 1 game or year cant fix that?
