Top 15 is pretty damn impressive. And it's only 20 guys.

Bama = 24
A&M = 24
Georgia = 27
Texas= 27
Penn State = 24
Michigan = 24

I think we can/will add some other late to sign guys as well. And some of these schools at or over 25 may have commits they were going to wait on that won't have a spot anymore. Hopefully we just get as close to 32 (I think our max) as possible once the dust settles in Feb with NSD & transfers.

I think A&M may possibly jump Bama when all is said and done. Impressive for a team that crapped the bed this season. The only real thing of value for them this season was a fluke win over Bama. I hope we can sign such a class when we beat Bama.

Did they ask Heup anything about the portal going forward? I didn’t get to see the presser. He may not even comment on it but I just figured I’d ask.

Water under bridge thing but I don’t recall you sharing Gibbs was part of it….
When I first reacted, I didn’t give any details. That was one. Evans was always the more likely but Gibbs had communicated that he wanted to play with Evans…according to Evans.

OTs are notoriously hard to project even as a 5*. He could wind up being amazing or mediocre to awful. Regardless, I have no idea why he'd go to UK. Linemen aren't getting NIL deals on the up and up. Those deals are for high profile players just like you don't see too many linemen in the pros with mega commercial deals. Under the table money is far more likely.

Talk to me guys! I’ve been crazy busy today and was only able to catch bits and pieces on the sports talk shows. I’ve checked in throughout the day but have not been able to dive in. How are we feeling? Biggest surprise? Biggest disappointment? Where do we go from here with late signers, transfer portal. Other than Florida, who were some of the losers of the day and who were the winners(besides the obvious)
Let’s hear it!
GBO!!

Not an elite class, but a plenty good enough class — especially if we can add Verse. Schedule actually sets up pretty well next year, IMO. Go win 9+ next year hopefully and think we will be able to close with a really nice class next year and never look back.
10 months on the job, I would say pretty good class with not knowing just about any of these recruits before he got here. The portal will be a bigger asset on the balance.

All in all, I'm happy with today. Don't really care where the services rank us, but we'll probably get jumped by a couple of teams in the next couple of days since we seem to be done. Kids have until Friday to sign, then they have to wait until February. Looking forward to this staff recruiting from the portal.

KY has had some good OL and DL the last few seasons under Stoops. Those are really the only position groups that stick out to me with KY.

Getting another 7+ wins and showing stability will be sufficient to land a really nice 2023 class, I think.

Pitt and LSU on the road will be tough, regardless of the roster turnover. Florida is always tough - even with a depleted roster they always wind up looking more talented than Tennessee. Georgia and Bama will be tough.
