I’m very happy about today but if you don’t see how razor thin we are at LB, Im not sure what to tell you.

We are not that thin at linebacker…. We only play 2…. Willis and Mohan will probably be more ready…. We have 2 freshman linebackers and we are planning to add more experience through the portal.

I'm impressed with our class. . . after watching our coaches present the class, I may be even more impressed with them. They say that players take on the personality of their coaches. If that's true, they are gonna be great people to have in Knoxville over their years here and in their communities after they graduate too.

I agree. Seems like character is just as much as ability, and I like that. I also like that there’s no flash to the coaches. They just go about their business continually trying to get better.

I think we did beginning at least 3 months ago.

But there are basketweavers showing up now, in the aftermath of a great day, strutting about, and acting as if they are the first to notice where we might need help. It's farcial. The part where they think they are "edgy" for being the last to find out and the least insightful but the loudest at an inappropriate time is cringey. Yet they seem to think that people being abashed for them certifies their "genius."

95% of teams are razor thin at 1 or even 2 positions that’s pretty standard. Fortunately LB is one of the easier positions to find production via the portal because it’s more so about body types especially ILB and ILB is one of the more one universal teachings at this level. Everyone does similar things so the learning curve isn’t as steep.

Time will tell. Fact is we have one SEC level LB vs unproven players “who will probably be more ready”.

Where does the - come from? What could they have done, realistically, that they didn't accomplish to earn an A+ grade?
