Time will tell. Fact is we have one SEC level LB vs unproven players “who will probably be more ready”.

I’m assuming that the coaches knows who they feel is ready or close to ready…. Fans are the ones that have no clue…. In college…. You always have guys you are relying on to step up/ grow bc players only have four years or less to play.

When a kid signs somewhere else, I assume that it’s $$$. When they choose Tennessee, I conclude that it’s because they love Tennessee and want to be part of an amazing football culture.

I have to say I had concerns with what I thought to be little traction on the recruiting trial during the season, but Heup let the work on the field build interest, and built a damn nice class for the situation he's in. If we continue to have success we could reach near elite levels again. Let's hit the portal and build a team that can beat Georgia.

You're probably being flippant, but I see these comments regularly on football boards. That logic is something that most people find objectionable when used to question or oppose their own choices. If turned around and applied to your interests as a Vol fan it would mean, "screw UT for not giving all football scholarships to Tennessee HS recruits, even if UT believes they have better prospects elsewhere."

Sorry, I know you weren't expecting a weighty philosophical response but, even in every day life, it's getting harder to tell if people can see the other point of view. In the case of fb recruiting, there's a reason the recruits feel compelled to say "Respect my decision."

I’m very happy about today but if you don’t see how razor thin we are at LB, Im not sure what to tell you.

Nothing against banter. But, it was a great day overall. Why not celebrate one day and worry about LB after February? We may pick up a transfer or two or sign someone else. Tolan would have been great. Swung hard. Didn't get him. Today was almost all good news. Relish it.
