And that fact goes to my argument. We don't have the talent to play generic so why not mix it up? Talent is usually raw athletic ability. Scheme is more between the ears. You might not be the biggest or fastest but through scheme you should be able to at least keep the offense guessing. This is on full display this year in regards to the offense. You take a group of guys from last year that struggled to do anything especially score and through scheme you break the school record. As an offensive coordinator would you rather play against a predictable defense where you seldom if ever saw a blitz and most set back in zone with predictable consistent holes? Or would you rather go against a defense where you never know where it's coming from?John Chavis also coached defenses full of nfl talent…. The only player we have even close to going in the top 7 rounds is Alontae Taylor….. it doesn’t matter if the play total was 100 or 60 snaps….. defensive lineman are not suppose to play every snap…. They are suppose to be rotated to keep them fresh…. I feel we played above our talent level for this season…. I don’t know what to expect from him going forward but it’s too soon to judge.
