And that fact goes to my argument. We don't have the talent to play generic so why not mix it up? Talent is usually raw athletic ability. Scheme is more between the ears. You might not be the biggest or fastest but through scheme you should be able to at least keep the offense guessing. This is on full display this year in regards to the offense. You take a group of guys from last year that struggled to do anything especially score and through scheme you break the school record. As an offensive coordinator would you rather play against a predictable defense where you seldom if ever saw a blitz and most set back in zone with predictable consistent holes? Or would you rather go against a defense where you never know where it's coming from?

Really liked Betty, she never took herself too seriously. Always ready to make people laugh at her as she was to laugh at anyone else. That's what I liked about her style of comedy. Another reason I really like Richard Prior. Always willing to be the butt of the joke!

I agree...if we could just have a solid defense going forward, then we will win big. If we could have a really good defense, then we could win championships.

Banks has to have visible improvement...I agree. I have to give him some slack, but yesterday sucked. That guy was a statue...a really good QB, but a statue.

I'm just glad that the world gave her her roses while she was here. She knew how great she was and how much people loved her.

Oh..they let Purdue play. That was a bent crew, not a bad one, I will go to my grave believing that.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I keep going back to the pact or whatever it was that the ACC, the Big Ten, and the PAC 12 formed when it was announced that Texas and OU were joining the SEC. We played a Big Ten team with ACC officiating and came up on the short end of several questionable calls. Coincidence? I can't help but wonder...

I just hope that Verse or any other players on the D side of the ball that is in the portal and watched the game and think they dont want no part of this D . It was hard to watch them leaving WRs wide open and not getting any push and players out of position. I know it shows we need players but they do not look well coached on that side of the ball.

Good lord. You must have a miserable life. Finding that cloud in the silver lining? Fantastic year given what we faced. A loss in a tough fought bowl game doesn't change that in anyway. Optimistic for the future given the fight this coach gets out of his players.

Let's not forget all the starters and contributors we lost coming into this season. What CJH and his staff has done has been remarkable. They just need time and for us to be patient. They haven't been on the job a full year yet.

We can all agree that our staff is not perfect and they have to continue to improve along with our players and the roster in general. Recruiting will have to continue to improve but I feel 1000% times better this December about the direction of the program than I did this time last year.

Let's finish this recruiting cycle strong and land some impact transfers and get this thing rolling for next fall.
