On 4th and 3 from within the 25? That's a very basic "go" situation regardless of score. With limited time makes a FG that much worse a call. You're playing to win, not to lose by less.Poorly coached gam by Fickell. No other way to say it. Kick the damn FG. You’re down 18!!!
I really like Heupel’s offense. It’s great. It’s fun. It scores a ton of points.
But it has some negatives for me. It’s hard to put away games if you don’t execute as you will have several bad 3 and outs that put you in tough spots.
I think the pros out way the cons.
I think if you execute well you blow out the other team but if you sputter like last night you let a team back into it and it’s harder to get back control.
I want to see this offense with a developed OL.I really like Heupel’s offense. It’s great. It’s fun. It scores a ton of points.

All in all it creates more possessions per game for BOTH teams. That's great when we are the better team...it lowers variance. It comes down to efficiency, as with any tempo/offense.If we can get a good enough line and backs to give this offense a legitimate “ball control” mode to complement the quick tempo stuff, we will be a difficult team to beat.

My hope is their team is caught looking forward to Bama and gets waylaid by Michigan.UGA fans gotta be feeling a bit discouraged. This isn’t an unexpected result but you gotta imagine they were hoping for a massive upset. Instead they get to look forward to Bama again. And that’s IF they get past Michigan.

To many times our run game gets stagnant. That is my only complaint.
All those cincy doesnt belong folks...lol
Bama will still likely walk away with it, sure. Talent eventually takes over typically. But they've proven they "belong" imo. They could have taken michigan or uga very well too.
Sometimes that is much harder to do at the goal line…. Defense is up tight bc they are not afraid of the receiver running by them. It’s hard to out scheme with a bad OL and average RBs. Which is why I hated the play call inside the 5. Getting Velus in space on a WR screen might have been a better call. Who knows. Running it up the gut with our backs wasn’t the right call, clearly.
