Poorly coached gam by Fickell. No other way to say it. Kick the damn FG. You’re down 18!!!
On 4th and 3 from within the 25? That's a very basic "go" situation regardless of score. With limited time makes a FG that much worse a call. You're playing to win, not to lose by less.

Also remember they are AWFUL at FGs. The announcers said one of the worst in the country.

I really like Heupel’s offense. It’s great. It’s fun. It scores a ton of points.

But it has some negatives for me. It’s hard to put away games if you don’t execute as you will have several bad 3 and outs that put you in tough spots.

I think the pros out way the cons.

I think if you execute well you blow out the other team but if you sputter like last night you let a team back into it and it’s harder to get back control.

If we can get a good enough line and backs to give this offense a legitimate “ball control” mode to complement the quick tempo stuff, we will be a difficult team to beat.

UGA fans gotta be feeling a bit discouraged. This isn’t an unexpected result but you gotta imagine they were hoping for a massive upset. Instead they get to look forward to Bama again. And that’s IF they get past Michigan.
they'll beat Bama.

I want to see this offense with a developed OL.

All in all it creates more possessions per game for BOTH teams. That's great when we are the better team...it lowers variance. It comes down to efficiency, as with any tempo/offense.

Defense has to better and offense just has to continue being efficient, as it very much was this year. 3rs down defense SLAUGHTERED us and wore our own defense down.

To many times our run game gets stagnant. That is my only complaint.

My hope is their team is caught looking forward to Bama and gets waylaid by Michigan.

All those cincy doesnt belong folks...lol

Bama will still likely walk away with it, sure. Talent eventually takes over typically. But they've proven they "belong" imo. They could have taken michigan or uga very well too.
I mean I guess… they’re losing by 3 touchdowns and we lost by 4 touchdowns

And a legit 1-2 at RB. That room wasn't healthy all year. With a developed line that can at least pass block half the time with skill players running wide open? Big numbers. Pretty sure Golesh mentioned they are only a quarter into a small playbook.

Good thoughts. It all comes down to execution and controlling the controllable. We had several opportunities to stretch the lead and failed to do so. One thing we know… You CANNOT win consistently, in today’s game, without scoring points. I’m confident Josh Heupel will have us in every game. The loss last night hurt. It should not have come down to one play. I so badly wanted to end this season on a good note. Losing sucks..

It’s hard to out scheme with a bad OL and average RBs. Which is why I hated the play call inside the 5. Getting Velus in space on a WR screen might have been a better call. Who knows. Running it up the gut with our backs wasn’t the right call, clearly.

They have 2 fgs. Not sure how you figure this. Completely outclassed on the lines just like everyone says these lil boys are against big boy SEC

Sometimes that is much harder to do at the goal line…. Defense is up tight bc they are not afraid of the receiver running by them.
