Weren't we down almost 20 scholarship players or something like that?I mean (this is total on roster, not scholarship players) for how young the team is we really overachieved this year. With better officiating we're a 9 win team. Roughly 60% of the team were underclassmen this year.

I get it, no one wants Banks to be a failure. I don't want him to fail either but stats don't lie. They are what they are. You can try to justify and rationalize all you want. Whether it's roster, fast offense, strength of opponents, whatever. The fact is the defense ranked in the lower half in most statistical categories for all of college football. Like I've said numerous times, I don't think he'll get it done here. I desperately want to be wrong because the last thing we need is to be firing coaches. Having said that, I have zero confidence our defense will improve significantly under his direction. I said the same thing about the guru and had similar responses from my friends here.So we were what everyone said we would be with the depleted roster? They said we would win 4 to 5 games with the talent we had, and yet we could have won 9 to 10 if not for calls. How many games should we have had a chance to win with those stats? Sometimes stats are not everything and not putting your focus there is not sticking your head in the sand.
Maybe that’s because some of us think you’re making up your mind way too soon. Just don’t think stats tell the whole story. And after the spring game y’all told me we would be lucky to win 4 games because of our lack of talent. Now we’re supposed to ignore what the coaches were able to do with that lack of talent that went up against three Heisman candidates at QB plus GA and compare them to teams that didn’t even play a team that was in the top 25 all year?I get it, no one wants Banks to be a failure. How many games do we win if we just have Bennett, Ty, Gray, Toots, Crouch, Johnson/Wanya and Lawrence. We may have won 10 games with just those guys still on the team.7-6 and these are the contributors we lost...I hope Banks & company can get some talent/depth back and we see them with closer to a full deck to play with next season.
Kivon Bennett
Deandre Johnson
Ty Chandler
Shawn Shamburger
Wanya Morris
Jahmir Johnson
Quavaris Crouch
Eric Gray
Henry To'o To'o
Key Lawrence
I think you're right but Brett Favre wasn't either. They are both gamblers, only Levis is nowhere near as talented as Favre obviously.I don't think Levis is very smart. I think that's what holds him back tbh.
