I think you're right but Brett Favre wasn't either. They are both gamblers, only Levis is nowhere near as talented as Favre obviously.

I think without the gambling Levis is mediocre at best. I'd argue its both his best and worst quality as a QB.
Levis is a good runner. Hate to admit it.

How many games do we win if we just have Bennett, Ty, Gray, Toots, Crouch, Johnson/Wanya and Lawrence. We may have won 10 games with just those guys still on the team.

Real talk, if we just have the LBs back we win another 2 games. (Bennett, Henry, Crouch) you can't tell me having them on the team doesn't turn the losses to Ole Miss, Pitt, and Purdue into wins? Bennett left as our leading pass rusher (despite only playing 7 games). Henry T lead the team in tackles & Crouch was 3rd.

Valkenburg is a diff maker.

If every team played an equal strength of schedule you would put ATM in there, perhaps even Arky and Kentucky. Who's so much better? This year for sure we have 4 possibly 5 of the top 10 teams.
I guess we’ll just have to disagree on this. I think UK, Arky, and ATM are ranked appropriately. UK didn’t beat anyone of note out of conference, ATM squeaked out a 3 point win over a 4-8 Colorado team, and Arky’s biggest OOC win was today against an unranked Penn State team. Not sure what they’ve done to make you think they are top 10 teams.

You're not lying. You can't tell me that Toots and Banks wouldn't have defended the QB run better than Beasley and Page. And dang it, we needed a pass rusher. Bennett could get after the QB and Crouch was a good player for MSU this year.

And imagine having Gray/Chandler for the 2nd half of the Pitt game instead of 170 lb true freshman Wright the entire second half. Imagine having them 2 for the final series of overtime instead of trying to run Wright on 4th and goal.

7-6 and these are the contributors we lost...I hope Banks & company can get some talent/depth back and we see them with closer to a full deck to play with next season.

Kivon Bennett
Deandre Johnson
Ty Chandler
Shawn Shamburger
Wanya Morris
Jahmir Johnson
Quavaris Crouch
Eric Gray
Henry To'o To'o
Key Lawrence

Not to mention Middleton, Emerson, and Mincy on the DL.

I like our DL/Edge class. We'll see about the DB class. Obviously I'm just saying this based upon rankings because I don't know anything.

But with the hype that our DL/edge class is getting, this is a good start for our defense. What we must do is add onto that. If we want a good defense, we need to stack classes so that in year 5 of Heupel we're playing elite players not only with the 1's, but in the 2 and 3 deep. We need to land Burley, Herring, and others like them in this class and you talk about having some elite talent on this defense up front. That's what we need. And it will be amazing how much better our secondary will look when we have difference makers up front.

The offense will be there. If Rodney can get these dudes stacking these classes, we're going to be a force.

hold strong hawkeyes, wanta see Levis and that pouty face again !
Who knew some refs let plays play out to the end !

Crouch finished with 75 tackles (5th on team) but missed 3 games. He would have been huge for us here too.

Banks and Henry T would have likely been the starters, but having Crouch/Beasley coming in from the 2 deep would have been big. Bennett & BY pressuring the QB would have been crazy.

OH WELL...just our luck lol

I don't know how the Middleton saga turned into him being no good but somehow we forgot he had some great plays when we had him. DL was empty by the MCB.

For some reason, when the announcers were talking about how great Mark Stoops and KY are, they forgot to mention he lost to Tennessee. Must have been an oversight on their part.

Like when they forgot that Purdue was playing the most portal ravaged team in the country while talking about how many players they were missing.
