Lol….Milton is garbage…I don’t give a damn what he does in practice!!! It is what it is you either can play under the lights or you can’t!! Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane!Like I said he was 8-12 for over 100 yds with 1 TD if Hyatt makes the catch…. His inconsistency means you allow Hooker to prove he can be the guy but a QB guru shouldn’t give up on a talent like Milton.
With what this fanbase has endured. They are lucky 80k we’re still coming. I blame no one who decided to stay at home and save their hard earned money.
Same things were said last week. If this had happened or this. I don’t care about what should or could have happened. Truth is, two games in and he is overthrowing most passes. We SHOULD have been up 21-0 if he could throw better. And the game would have been pretty much over.Like I said he was 8-12 for over 100 yds with 1 TD if Hyatt makes the catch…. He looked like we had set plays to run with his skill set…. Not sure if they will continue to work after teams watch the film but will be awesome if he stays consistent.Milton definitely has the most upside. I trashed Hooker initially. He was pretty consistent. Maybe consistency helps out the defense.
A bit extreme regarding Hooker. He was 15/21. Hardly inaccurate. DB made a great read running all the way across the field on a developing combo route when UT had to press behind late and with no running game…So far this season:
Milton throws passes no one can catch.
Hooker throws passes either team can catch.
Bailey hasn't thrown a pass.
Hopefully Bailey will get some time in the Tennessee Tech game. I'd love to see Milton put it all together in a game though.
Milton didn’t fumble that either. He was flat on his back and Pitt player raked that ball away. Ref changed play to a fumble but there was no video evidence to overturn.
Yep we are struggling at the QB position but we havre to work with what we got.Same things were said last week. If this had happened or this. I don’t care about what should or could have happened. I’m not sure what you people are doing down there, but every single female in the crowd was attractive on TV
Should help recruiting
I am in the minority, but I wasn’t impressed with Hooker. He did some things well. I think if the coaches go into a game week with him as QB1 the play calling will be better for him.
I don’t think he is any better than an Emory Jones - great athlete, good runner, good read option, sub par arm at best.
Who was the gamer during JG’s years?^^^^
All day and all night. If this crew on here had not endured 4 years of #2 I could understand not getting the difference in a practice player and a gamer. Coaches who are more focused on process than winning never seem to learn the lesson of substance over style as well. I hope Heup proves he likes gamers better if given the choice.
Heup would scheme and call the game differently for each QB, so blaming the O-line when Coop and T-Evans were out is not the right answer. Heup still chose the least accurate passer, his guy, to start the game and miss a zillion open receivers in the first quarter before getting hurt despite knowing Coop and Evans were out. So he used his least accurate passer when the run game was probably not going to be as effective without Coop and Evans. Not judging, that's just a fact. That tells me Milton is on target in practice, but not so much in games, and Heup thought the practice performance would carry over better into the game than it did. Now he knows - two games in a row to go with his Michigan history. So now there are no more excuses for when it turns out the way if he keeps Milton as his guy. I hope Milton gets it. But I'm not willing to sit and watch a #2 debacle again. I suspect there are a lot of us that feel that way.
