Can’t wait for @nicksjuzunk to see this mess we left him
Wrong on the field goal. Once possession changes, i.e. the kick is missed w/o penalty, then nothing can undo that. With offsetting penalties the outcome reverts to what it would have been at the point of the change of possession. 1st and 10 for UT at the previous LOS (from when they attempted the FG). That was the correct call.
Also wrong that we are bad right now. We certainly aren't where we want or need to be, but we are not bad. We saw bad in Dooley, Butch and Pruitt's last years. We have no room for error and we are committing them left and right. Had the O and D played with the discipline of the special teams, we win by between 15 - 25 pts. That is not bad, it's immature.
I am in the minority, but I wasn’t impressed with Hooker. He did some things well. I think if the coaches go into a game week with him as QB1 the play calling will be better for him.
I don’t think he is any better than an Emory Jones - great athlete, good runner, good read option, sub par arm at best.
Dadgum pass interference that sailed into the first row that kept the drive alive and led to one of their tds was maybe worse than the first down call .. amazing 10 yards outta the back of the end zoneThe SEC heard from multiple people they take seriously about the lack of reviews for those first downs. I wouldn't want to be those refs. Nothing will come of it and so the wheel turns
It’s a PSK (post scrimmage kick) which changes the application of the rule. It’s different from an INT and then there’s two live ball penalties on either team. A lot of screwy things can happen on kicks.Ya I thought once possession changes, nothing that happens after that can undo the change of possession.
