How long do we have to give banks a pass…..
Next year, the following year????
We have a good coach who can win big here but has a bad DC. I don’t understand people defending a **** job on defense and then turning around and bitching about a record setting offense that is also lacking talent but the coaches are blamed……
The DC and defense as a whole sucked it up this year plain and simple and needs to do a hell of a lot better next year
Yes, the Offense needs to improve and be more efficient but the back 7 on defense need major coaching up this off season and the DC needs to keep learning bc he can do well here but needs to learn from this past year being a first time DC
But what if you did give up a big play if they were going to score anyway? At first I thought he was willing to let them have whatever between the 20's then dial some stuff up in the red zone. He kept rushing 4 in the red zone too. He went out of character against Ky and it won us the game. Obviously they were doing whatever they wanted until the very last part of the game. Once they got into the red zone we won us that game blitzed what 2-3 times in a row and sacked Levis all three times straight? That was the only thing that won that game for us.My opinion we rushed 4 to cover for the weakness of our safeties, neither of which have to speed not skillset for SEC. basically teh defense did not have a difference maker or a person the offense had to account for, If you blitzed more, it increases the probability of a big play. Banks was bend but don't break to try to make the QB's beat us. Think it would be interesting to see if it was him or one of his assistants who suggested the blitzes at the end of the Kentucky game. As far as the digression at the end of the season, that was a combination of scheme, injuries and complete lack of depth as players were just worn out.
Yes they have leeway butSo to you, there is absolutely zero leeway when it comes to coaches? Regardless of the situation?
He just had his trainers carry him off with no pressure on his leg. As soon as he got to the sideline, he walked to the tent. I now see he’s being carted off to the locker room just like the Auburn game. I really hope he’s not injured as the kid is tough as nails. But I’m just saying he likes the dramatic effect and plays into it well.
Banks lost me at the 2:29 mark in the video below:I'm educated enough to know that sitting g back in zone and not covering anyone and putting all the pressure on a secondary that couldn't cover Betty White (RIP) while rushing 4 or 5 DL that can't get to the QB having to take on 5 OL and a tightend and/or a RB probably isn't the smartest thing to do. I know that sitting back and allowing a team to continuously beat your defenses' brains in by methodically marching down the field on 20 play 10 min drives consequently wearing your defense down making it easier and easier for them to do more of the same probably isn't all that bright. I know that other teams would love for their offense se to methodically move down the field keeping out high power offense over on the sidelines watching the defense continuously giving up 3rd down conversions, even long ones is a fabulous idea. I know continuing to do whatever you are doing that places your defense at over 100 in several statistical categories is probably not the best strategy. I know that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
I'm tired of arguing with you folks. It's a pathetic showing on defense. If you're good with it or somehow can justify/excuse it, good for you. There is no arguing that the defenses was an embarrassment. You guys continually throw these kids under the bus and give these millionaire coaches a pass. I ask myself one question when judging coaches, did they produce a product that was greater than the sum of the parts? If you think he did, good for you. I think he failed miserably.
Yes they have leeway but
As I said he sucked it up this year and needs to do better which I said he hopefully will with more experience under his belt
I don’t agree with the people bitching about the offense and giving the defense a free pass
Sir I am with you 100% and I hope you give her a great chance. I have 3 shelties, wife and a son at home and my 3 yappers are my world as much as the rest of them.As I sit here quarantined I have to tell you all a story. I got a call from an officer I had worked with a year prior on an animal neglect case about a week ago for an emergency rescue of a dog that was the sole survivor of a domestic murder/suicide and was completely shut down. He asked if I could take her at the request of the victims immediate family he told them he knew a good place for her that would give her every chance. They didn't feel it right to take her to the pound. She's a mastiff pit mix. I've kept her away from our other animals in the back bedroom I quarantined in earlier this week.
I've had concerns about her, she did not eat for two days. Very standoffish. And she wanted nothing to do with me until this afternoon. I came back into the room with a small silkie rooster that the flock had turned on to get a flashlight to assess his injuries. When I walked into the room she immediately came to my feet, never done that before in the last week. I thought no, this isn't a snack but something told me there was more to her interest.
Over the last few hours she sat next to me as I treated him put him in a carrier. She has not left his side since I brought him in. I've taken him out a time or two to gauge his level of shock, each time she has nuzzled him and shown interest and looks at me as I help him. She now let's me pet her and interact with no suspicion what so ever.
She has a long way to go and I never considered keeping her but if she shows this much compassion to a chicken maybe she could live on the farm with us, we will see. A lot of hurdles to cross but she's a different animal tonight I even brought an old blind cat we took in into the room and she's wonderful with her.
I can't imagine her suffering, watching the people she trusted and depended on kill and then take their own lives. I can't imagine her pain, nor her compassion for an animal that maybe she felt needed help like her. I refuse to be ashamed of the fact that as I type this tears roll down my face. I can't understand how anyone could mistreat animals, I wish those who do a special place in hell.
I ask all of you to support your local rescues, any resource you provide saves and changes lives!
