It's a work in progress.

We still have to build depth. You don't have to have the best of the best to do that and improve rotation.

Hopefully soon we have a foundation built on both sides of the ball, and we can start adding some great players too.

I just don't think THIS is the off-season that we were gonna go from bad to good. Probably have to go from bad to serviceable to improved to good.

He played really bad against Ga. Missed several wide open guys. Game changing unforced interception. Was simply overthrown.

It’s okay to acknowledge that a player didn’t play perfectly without complaining. It’s a fair question.

The inexplicable second quarter disappearing act by our entire offense killed our chances at a 9 win season just as equally as our trash defense IMO

No progress is being made defensively. We'll probably take a step back next year based off of the secondary's performance in the bowl game.

I agree that he’s a system QB. And who cares? He relishes in whatever we’re doing. I don’t know how we put up the points we did honestly. OL was meh, and receivers had simple route trees. But dang good at that one trick. Heupel is a friggin’ genius.

The biggest improvement that we can make for our defense next year is to fix the execution issues in the 2nd quarter.

The other biggest improvement for both sides of the ball would be the rules committee coming down hard on fake injuries.

When our offense is clicking, it puts an immense amount of pressure on the other team's offense to succeed as well. A bend-dont-break defense, which we had this year and will likely employ next year, is good enough. Ideally it would be great to have a stout defense but that will have to come with time.

Until then, keeping our foot on the gas pedal on offense will put a lot of pressure on other teams to match our pace and scoring.

In the spirit of your “welcome to the off-season” post, maybe step away for a few months. Hang out in the end zone for a while and just let these teenagers make their decisions. Then come back in the summer and see how the coaches are developing the kids who decided to come to UT. No need for the choices of teenage boys to leave you in an “FML” mood.

It's been two weeks since the bowl.

We haven't finished recruiting, we haven't finished getting transfers, we haven't going through spring practice, the guys that were young haven't had a whole off-season to get better.

If the defense stays the same we can still improve next year based on things that have nothing to do with the defense. But there's still time for improvement.

I mean…statically speaking it’s not true.

Over 64% completion in each game against Bama, Georgia, Ole Miss and he threw for 230+ in each game.

Dude only had 3 picks all season & 31 TDs, he had spells of inconsistency but his worse game was really Vanderbilt.

No...it's just being a douchebag. You expect Burrow? What the hell Bass? Do you wanna bitch at him just to have something to be pissed or worried about?

Hell I said he was off in the Purdue game, but he still put insane numbers up...he produced 45 f'n points man...that loss can not be pinned on him, It is 100% squarely on the crooked refs and the defense.

It is true...Hooker wasn't perfect, so go ahead and nitpick him if that makes you feel better or whatever...BUT...he vastly vastly vastly outperformed my expectations of him. He was a garbage pile reject for craps sake.

He will not be perfect again next year, so go ahead and get your slings and arrows ready..but I guarantee you he will produce enough to beat everybody that doesn't double us up in talent....he already did that this year.

Maybe we'll get lucky and see some Georgia or Bama players hit the portal on Tuesday. Fingers crossed!

Who am I kidding? The only luck we have is bad luck.
