I literally said Ga and Bama had an elite defense. But listen, GA’s defense didn’t force his overthrows except maybe to make him worry and rush. And if so, that’s mental, and something he needs to overcome and has to do with exactly what I’m talking about

Struggled? I'll give you he struggled against UGA but in the games against UF, Miss, and Purdue... he had like almost 900 yards with 8 tds and no picks. Lmao.

Are you new to football? That’s football 101, pressure the QB and make him worry and rush.
Every QB from Payton Manning and Tom Brady to Aaron Rodgers have their worst games when under pressure from the D.

They look unmotivated at times. Barnes looks unmotivated.
I think our biggest problem is Barnes wanted to run a high percentage of three ball offense. I think he thought we had a plethora of shooters. It turns out we don't. Add to that our inside game is average at best and you have what we've got.

Stats don’t tell the story. Go back and watch. He was heavily criticized after the bowl game and asked about his performance and he defined it as average. Missed 2 wide open receivers that would’ve been touchdowns and won the game. Disappeared in the second quarter. On and on

His 13 completions against UF really impressed you, huh?

He played really bad against Ga. Missed several wide open guys. Game changing unforced interception. Was simply overthrown.

It’s okay to acknowledge that a player didn’t play perfectly without complaining. It’s a fair question.

But he wasn’t under pressure when he made those throws I’m talking about, especially the interception. Read it again

He is a system qb. heup has him throwing option 1 and maybe look at option 2. Then he is gonna run If the O line can hold up. His accuracy is pretty good for a college qb.

I’m not saying it isn’t. Hendo was great this year. But he seemed to struggle in bigger games, and not just because of what the defense was doing to him.

Maybe I’m wrong. It was just a question. Apparently Hendo played perfectly all year, and any criticism or questioning of his play at all is heresy on VN

No. Just sayin he is above average. Hopefully he plays well and ends up with a Dobbs type NFL career. I can’t see him starting.

I think I need to come to grips with the fact our defense is not gonna be good next year. I was hoping, but it seems that hope was misplaced.
