If Harbaugh is smart, he'll look for a better opportunity. JMO, but the Dolphins aren't really set up to succeed, and I don't think he's the coach to get them there.

If anyone thinks that the NIL can be regulated , I noticed where Saban thinks it could be problematic. In other words everybody can buy a team and this little experiment in paying athletes will ultimately come down to 10 schools trying to out bid each other for players then the next tier of investors will bid next followed by the next tier and so so forth. Gives you the warm and fuzzy's for amateur athletics doesn't it ? It's all about the money........and the trophy's rich alumni or investors can put in their trophy case in the lobby.

Yup same. Apparently Flores had really bad relationships with Grier and Tua but I dunno who the hell is better that we can bring in.

Never say never but multiple reports say it won’t be Harbaugh. I don’t really believe it though.

Flores biggest mistake was he couldn’t find an offense or an OL. Not entirely his fault as he doesn’t get 100% choice on draft picks, but 3 different OCs in 3 years was bad. 2 years in a row if we had any resemblance of an above average offense we would have made the playoffs.

Still, don’t think he should have been fired. I think we will regret that.

yeah I just saw that we will see. The changing of the OC every year was a bad look and made him look incompetent on offense. But defense was legit.

Flores was the main reason that Watson preferred Miami as a trade target. He has a no trade clause. If he doesn’t like the hire, he ain’t coming. OL is where we need to spend the bulk of our league leading salary cap room this off-season.

Ross picked the wrong side if he went with Tua. Jmo. I've said it since he entered the draft that hes not it.

Too many uncertainties to bank on Watson. As long as he has those lawsuits hanging over his head, you just don't know what you're getting. And it's not worth 3 first round draft picks IMO to take that risk.

That's why I listed the OL only there lol. Need someone better than tua and daggone Brissett back there though. I'm fine with everyone else. I would have suggested to spend heavy on OL and see if tua can manage.

We need some DB's and LB's in the worst way for depth... Another Edge rusher or a DT who can shed his block...We can't get off the field on Defense, as was glaringly apparent in the bowl game... hopefully we can find 2-3 kids who can come in and help out day 1... I saw where we were talking to a few RB's, which is a need as well... the sooner the better.

Majority of the lawsuits have been settled and the remaining ones should be in the next 1-2 months as the court is going to be making a decision on validity. Biggest thing for him will be how long will he be suspended? 6 games seems to be the general though. Teams will jump at the chance to trade for him if so.

Yeah. We had this convo a few weeks back about Tua and I was still on the give him time bus.. but I’m off now. Even with an elite OL I just don’t think he’s a good enough QB. Can’t push the ball downfield consistently and twice now with the playoffs on the line he’s had his worst game of the season.. last year at Buffalo and at Titans last week.

I saw Flores make some pretty stupid decisions at times, but firing him after this season is a tough look. There were a few games during their early-season losing streak where he almost went out of his way to lose games.

Winning 8 of your last 9 and sweeping the Patriots for the first time since forever should have earned him another year. Like you said, young talent, seemed to find their footing.

Even still, maybe the decision was made after the losing streak, and beating a bunch of non-playoff teams in an attempt to rectify the failure might not have been enough.

Beating the Pats, at least splitting, has rarely been a problem for Miami. Idk why. Your last paragraph is a solid point though. Actually your whole post has great points.

We need defensive players way more than offense. I have said it before and I think it proved itself out that CJH system can score point's period. A player or two here and there and you will get 45 points on a regular basis. Defense has got to get more aggressive, bigger and MUCH stronger. A run stopper, edge rusher, lock down corner and strong fast LB'S are all must. Get those things and you will have something that will be hard to handle.

He doesn't see who is open on the NFL level. It shrinks the field substantially and defenses can shut that down easy. The WRs aren't terrible. Too bad this is a suspect QB class.
