On the Milton/Hooker question. In my opinion it has to be Hooker. The stats don't lie, we don't move to ball with any semblance of consistency until Hooker came in. Hooker is limited but he's much more accurate.

With that said we have to develop a better o line.

Hooker is going to turn it over. I guess it is preference for either missing long scoring chances or possibly giving it up.

Not sure how that was the same one crap. We had dudes running open all day and rushing defense was outstanding.

What I watched yesterday was totally different than what I’ve watched in the 4 previous years.

Nothing shy of a NC capable team will satisfy! Anything less than Bama-like is a bust!

The team played hard and was in it at the end. In spite of 3-0 turnovers, it was a single score game. We found a way to stay in it. That's improvement, but rather than celebrate it, we complain and whine that nothing has changed.

They are not contradictory….. they have made bad hires in the past….doesn’t mean they weren’t trying to win

I never said that it is the fans fault…. Just that the fans need to do their part

To be great a university needs:
A: University support….. I feel we are getting that now…. We had allowed the education side too much control
B. A great administration: I feel we have that now with the hire of Danny White
C.A good coach/staff…..I feel we have a good staff/ undetermined on the head coach but feel he will make it fun/stabilize the program
D:City/Community support: unsure how it is right now
E: Fan support: it’s definitely lacking.

E. is ******** to the max. BasketVOLs are selling out TBA most games this year, BaseVOLs have more fans than seats at the current stadium and the Lady Vols in basketball & softball also get plenty of support.

If you build the product, the fan support will be there hands down.

Milton will as well, they don't trust him to throw anything but boundary and the long ball. The only reason he hasn't thrown more picks is because 80% of his passes were home run misses nobody had a prayer of catching.

It look to me that they try to do a lot of rotating in the 2nd quarter to keep guys fresh for the second half… that has been by far our worse quarters in both games.

Vols fan said Schiano isn't who we want. We never said Pruitt was who we wanted.

The people who hired Schiano have been fired which is a win in the long run.

True, I just wonder if it was worth it for all the negativity we got around Knoxville over it. Because ultimately I think the blowback etc. over that whole hiring situation has impacted the ability to hire folks to Knoxville. One reason I am all-in for the White/Heupel era and hope both are here 5+ years. Feel like we just need an era of above average results and stability to kind of settle the waters and fix the narrative the outside media has about this place/job.

Make people believe it's going in the right direction and they'll be there. Attendance will pick up and so will recruiting. Yesterday was a missed opportunity. There will be others. Gotta capitalize.

I definitely saw why Milton was starting over Hooker. If Milton could get on page with WRs deep ball this offense would be dangerous. The one he threw to Hyatt was on money to start game.

Just sucks that he can’t hit a deep ball and hasn’t since his time at Michigan. Dude is not good.

I said earlier--- Milton is hurt, to what extent we don't know... we moved the ball with Hooker and moving forward hopefully we have both Evans and Small... Depending on Milton's injury, he sits and develops this season with two more years to play... Hooker is one and done to my knowledge... HB can be the backup or earn the spot ... With Hooker, Small, and Evans, you have at least 2 legit run threats in the game at all times and sorry, Hooker moved just as well or better than Milton...

Way behind this morning on here but while watching other games CFB has to get more consistency on targeting calls. Arkansas should have had 2 different guys ejected yesterday.
Obvious targeting and refs just roll on through, had that been us, a call from up above would have happened. 100 percent..

I know everyone hates to lose, especially being so close to a W. It seems like some might be losing sight of where we came from and where we are.

I hate that some people just can't see the positives of what this team is doing and where they're headed. A year ago, this team would've been beaten by 28pts+. Before the season, everyone seemed to realize how far behind the 8-ball Heupel was. Now they're already calling for his head after he has a team prepared and playing harder than any team in the past 3-4 years.

As the team gains experience and depth, these L's are going to turn into wins and a 6-6 season will become 9-3 or 10-2. As we get better this year, I really believe we're gonna beat 1-2 teams no one thinks we can right now.

Seats are empty because UT is having trouble selling tix even with creative packaging and bargain bin prices. A lot of season tix holders can't even give them away. My parents had six to give away outside Neyland and no one wanted them. My dad left them outside the stadium with a note. No one used them.

Fan and donor apathy has been growing for a while. COVID has cloaked it. If you're looking for a silver lining, families who want to take their kids to a game can benefit from cheap or free tix.

UT decision makers have no one to blame but themselves.

Man people really going off on fans for not showing up. We have sucked for over a decade and still do not look like a good team. This is a 6-6 at best team and yet people are going off on fans for spending time with their families and enjoying their weekends. This is craziness. How about you blame the administration for taking this fanbase for granted and serving us s*** for years. I don’t blame a single person who saves their hard earned money from going to see the Vols right now.

So the choices are start the guy who completes 50% of his passes or the guy who completes 70%.

50% completion rate is a non starter, you can't sustain drives like that, 70% you can work with.
