Why aren’t we being aggressive like OU!!!!

Just posting this for @Bassmaster_Vol to knee jerk freak out.

When did "satire" become misrepresenting what was said?

As far as I know, no one has given up on us making good pickups, but it's painful to watch good players hit the portal, players you feel could desperately fill a role on this team, only to see them pick another school. I trust the staff to be always working to improve this team. That doesn't change that players still need to have the desire to come here. Is it satire if I twist your comments to suggest you don't want this team to get better?

We cannot rely on coaching evaluations only. We simply have to recruit higher ranked talent. You can argue that the coaching evaluations are more important but this years NC game should show you what’s needed to win at a high clip. You have to have superior talent.

That’s the type of talent you need to be consistently dominate year in and year out….. that’s not how you build back….. you have to become a strong team with a strong foundation before you start competing with those type of teams…. It’s a process and we will know soon enough if we got the right guy or not.

Heupel does need to recruit better. That's just truth. Saying that doesn't mean someone lacks confidence in him or this staff. They did a remarkable job coaching up the talent they have this year. That doesn't mean we don't need a talent influx. The expectation is to always be moving forward, always improving. That's not "bellyaching" or "complaining". That's talking about the obvious.

As for the misrepresenting, yes, you did. You selected one post from a conversation. Conversations consist of multiple posts and context.

The problem is our fans think every player that hits the portal is an upgrade…… there haven’t been many obvious studs besides a few that entered already knowing where they wanted to go…..most are backups or lower level studs that we don’t know how they translate.
