I know what you are saying and I was saying that it was crazy. Why use a crap team to see if he can finally hit one long bomb? He has had two games with one being against a terrible opponent and couldn’t hit one. He isn’t going to miraculously start hitting them all the time. We need to move on and give reps to Hooker and Bailey. Spending time on one QB is how you end up with a JG situation.

I’m not talking about one long bomb. I’m talking about consistent deep throws that you can actually see touch on. If he isn’t doing that then you move on.

You can continue to rep the other QBs in practice. Even in the Tennessee Tech game. But, you have to have his arm threat against Florida and if he somehow miraculously starts hitting those deep throws that is exactly what he is to Florida a threat.

Bailey would get killed moving forward how our OL is playing. (however, I don’t think he misses any of those deep throws - although I don’t think he would of been able to throw the first one to Hyatt that Milton did)

Hooker reminds me of JG just enough to look OK with seemingly bad problems reading defenses.

I get it. I think if the AD were charging prices more reflective of what we have endured, say $20, people would be more apt to take a chance. But on the flip side, most of the folks who have put us through all of this are gone. Do we withhold our support from the ones trying to fix it because of the sins of their predecessors?
And those players chose to be here and theyre Not quitting - I’d love to see us support them

And not spending time on 1 QB is how you wind up with zero chemistry and timing. Heupel is looking at each QB's total body of work and giving the guy at the top the best chance to succeed. When it's clear he won't, he'll change.

I think Bailey would be just fine. Pitts D line is the best one we will play outside of Bama and UGA. We need to see how each QB performs in a game. Shoot I would start Hooker first half next week and the Bailey second half. See who looks the best and move forward with one. Milton has shown he isn’t it and we can’t keep praying he magically fixes his issues.

I’ve never seen a team launch it down downfield as much as we have in the first two games.

These are very low-probability connections, I don’t get it. It feels like Heupel gives Milton the green light to push it and he has probably been abusing it. Or maybe there aren’t outlet throws designed. I don’t know enough about football to tell. I just see a very odd game plan with Milton.

Not sure what’s up.

The plays are designed to get guys wide open. And guys have been wide open.
Single high safety, slot fades are coming.
it works everywhere. Ohio state & Bama EAT off of it.
I’d find it more odd that a coach would have a QB with the strongest arm in America and not take shots down the field

I don’t know how it couldn’t be any more clear after two games and seeing what we have that Milton isn’t the guy.

Nah…. I’m stopping talking about it but I just want fans at the games to give us a home field advantage and to help show recruits that is a place they want to come…

Game environment is cool and all but people want to go to a winning program. Losing to Pitt is worse than not filling the stadium

I understand the sentiment, but disagree.
They are equivalently not good now, but JG has had 3 more years to learn and improve. I would take Milton over JG just because there is still a chance he improves some. The eerie similarity that drives me crazy is the lack of pocket presence in taking sacks and losing fumbles. Hooker wasn't much better. Oh for a QB that has that feel in the pocket...

Watch the line judge on this. He backs up instead of sliding forward. Terrible officiating. No way to see the spot of the ball.

I don’t like Fant on this play. Didn’t block anybody. Feel like he should’ve been at least attempting to hustle and push the pile. And definitely should’ve ran to help the QB up. Instead he’s just watching everything.

Statistically speaking, if we have say a 30-40% chance to win each of those four road games, we will win at least one.
I don't see us winning any of them. I think our best chance is OM simply because it's a home game but i think Kiffin will have something special in mind and will want to humiliate us in our own house.

Even after he's proven he won't hit them? At some point you have to tell yourself to stop calling deep shots just because you have the strongest arm in America. I get why it was part of the game plan, but to just keep doing it 2 weeks in a row when we could easily have moved the ball down the field was frustrating.

Because it's the next game on the schedule. Would you rather them not see if Milton can figure out his touch against TTU BEFORE potentially starting him in the swamp to try there?

Random but One year when A&M played bama with sumlin they tagged a slot fade rpo to every one of their run plays and anytime bama rolled to single high to gain an extra guy in the box, they threw it up the seam.
