I think both of you are making a lot of assumptions. It is possible, of course and if he does play that card, I will give you kudos for figuring it out.

I wish that Shaq and Barkley and some of the other NBA greats could vote for or set 1v1's that they want to see, based on positions.

With shooting the way that it is now, I'd also rather see full-court HORSE than the dunk contest.

I miss the old days when they use to compete in all star games.

The last all star game in any of the big 3 sports I remember fondly is the Ichiro inside the park HR in 2007. Besides that, they’ve never been interesting to watch. My dad tells me of the glory days in the 80s when they’d actually pretend to care about the games. But I never got to see that.

Velus is a good all around player, but he underachieved this year. With his speed and athleticism he was covered up way too much.

Edit: my biggest point is of all the assistants to lose this one doesn’t really hurt, you can easily find someone to replace Kodi Burns that is just as good or better.
