Snap tracks, auto tune, and some of the worst song writing. Country used to be where you would turn for great storytelling songs, now there's only a few great true country artists out there that can do it...and they're not the popular ones. I feel like all that good songwriting has emerged from the resurgence of folk artists the last 10 years. Gregory Alan Isakov, Milk Carton Kids, and Josh Ritter are some of my favorites. Some of their songs are like listening to old country music without the southern accent.
