talent or no, new country sucks, hard.
Snap tracks, auto tune, and some of the worst song writing. Country used to be where you would turn for great storytelling songs, now there's only a few great true country artists out there that can do it...and they're not the popular ones. I feel like all that good songwriting has emerged from the resurgence of folk artists the last 10 years. Gregory Alan Isakov, Milk Carton Kids, and Josh Ritter are some of my favorites. Some of their songs are like listening to old country music without the southern accent.

Okay smart***......

Cody Jinks
Tyler Childers
Jason Isbell (yes, the same one that your boy wiped his *** with one of his songs)
Matt Mason
Whiskey Myers
Jamey Johnson
Chris Stapleton
Colter Wall
Sturgill Simpson
Turnpike Troubadors

There's ten easy ones off the top of my head who make your boy sound like William Hung.
Lol you’re such a hipster… just too cool for school

Country music comes from a vacant place in one's soul. it crackles as the vinyl spins, makes the beer colder, after working your ass off all week.

I don't know any of these people, including Mr. Hung. Not saying they are not good. Just saying I am behind the times.

I haven't been following recruiting as much this season as in the past due to work, but I am not seeing any LB's jumping out at me, and when I scroll down the main page I only see two for '24.... This is a bit concerning don't you think since this seems to be a position of need? I know we have a couple of young guys right now, but I think we should be looking pretty heavily in the transfer portal--- Anyone know if we are locked on any LB's in the portal right now?

Some folks believe they work for a fraction of the cost, they are not legal immigrants, and a large amount of the illegal earnings are sent back to their home country.
They believe that because it is the truth in a lot of cases. I personally had a huge issue with them back in the late 90s because they devalued my trade and cost me personally a lot of money.

I do feel somewhat differently now...I admire people that just want to work hard and have a better life.

Wallen did it better than Isbell, imo

The Meaning of Jason Isbell's "Cover Me Up" - Extra Chill

You are batting 1.000 with these incorrect statements today, my dude. Isbell wrote that song mostly from his personal journey and partially to his wife (who saved him from himself) Wallen could never put that much emotion into that song because he ain't lived it. That's like saying Blake Shelton could cover Porter Waggoner's "Committed to Parkview".
