It's still widely believed and repeated. There are very very few observations of other animals doing it, but its probably because its not an easy thing to trick another animal into doing. Humans fully domesticated things and have thumbs and invented ways to ferment stuff to lower the lactose content and so on. It's really wild when you look into the history of tolerance to lactose. It's an evolutionary marvel that blows my mind. You know I think I heard the human and milk thing years ago on the Jack LeLanne show. For those to young he was one of the first TV fitness guys. He was a huge opponent of milk at one time for humans after they were out of their teens as I remember. Thanks for the info because unlike some, I ain't never been so smart I couldn't learn something.
Seems like somewhere I read years ago that the Bedouins started using Camels milk for nutrition while going through the desert. Could you imagine being that first guy that look at a Camel than looked at his buddy and said...."HHmmmmm what about that Camel milk"......I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. Must have been pretty hungry, yes pretty hungry indeed. It's still widely believed and repeated. My great grandmother always picked a mess of polk and cooked it up. I never knew anyone else that did.The Camels milk thing to me is a tough one but what about Polk Salad. " Well, the last guys that tried it didn't do so well. Why don't we boil it a bunch pour out the water and boil it again and add eggs to it and scramble " ........ How many tries did it take and what made them keep trying......silly humans.
I've been hearing your Tuesday questions on Locked On Vols quite a bit recently.
Move to KentuckyI've tried several times to get some sort of help. I didn't qualify, because I was employed too recently and this last time because my tax return from two years prior was too much. Some people say it works for people really in need, but I'll sadly tell them they're completely wrong. It's badly broken.
Poor small schools. Many can barely keep their athletic departments open now they have to pay players as well?I thought schools could not pay players? I guess since Californiastan is a 3rd world country ,they can do as the please
Proposed California bill would force schools to split football, basketball revenue with athletes, per report (247sports.com)
Exactly...especially lower middle class. I have been to Belize, so I am not going to call myself "poor" because I have seen what that really is, but I make "get by ok" money. What I don't have is insurance money for me and my wife both.If you are poor, you get healthcare. If you are wealthy, you have money for healthcare. If you are middle class, you are….screwed.
I’ve tried to support the show by listening and sending in questions for that segment as I’m sure it has to be hard to come up with content for a daily podcast….. but been kind of disappointed with how unprepared he sometimes seems for these segments. Like he’s reading each question for the first time on the pod. Two weeks or so ago he did a Twitter Tuesday where three of the questions were regarding the RB depth chart, or some variation of that. So he answered it three times.
I think my last question was if there were any current Vols who are in the portal that the staff would welcome back if they wanted on the team and he answered it by simply reading the 247 list of kids in the portal. I mean, I know who’s in the portal. I was kinda wondering if he had any knowledge of the team actively trying to keep a kid etc.
Idk. Just don’t feel like he does much to prepare for those.

UT hospital was almost the death of me. Fun fact, May 18th, 2017, I was admitted to UT hospital after going to the ER. I spent like 10 days there, never getting better. Told them to just let me go home. They threatened to have me pulled of the transplant list if I left. When I threatened to leave anyway the finally contacted my liver doctor, thinking he'd convince me to stay. The fact I was in there at least a week before they even bothered to contact my liver doctor at Vanderbilt should tell you something. He asked for my labs, looked at the numbers, and said he wanted me transferred to Vanderbilt ASAP. So I got to take an ambulance ride from UT Hospital here in Knoxville to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Pretty quick trip as the ambulance driver was doing 95-100 almost the entire trip. Anyway, if left to their own devices, I'm positively convinced the doctors at UT would have let me die. They don't do liver transplants at UT Knoxville, yet for some reason, it never occurred to them to send someone on the liver transplant list to the hospital that does liver transplants. Dumbasses.
Anyway, we're just minutes away from it being May 18th. Five years ago, I went into the hospital here in Knoxville, eventually got transferred to Vandy, and didn't get out of the hospital until July 3rd. My transplant was June 9th. It was October 21st before I finally got to come home to Knoxville. I had to stay in the Nashville area and be monitored after the transplant.
And May 18th is also my birthday.

Good docHave you talked to the hospital social worker that was assigned to your case? Sometimes they are invaluable in helping with the medical side.
Our hospital has a required amount of community care dollars each year that we prefer to use with our patients in need. If it isn’t used, then we write a check for the unused amount to a charity of our choice. We prefer to use it with our patients, but it’s good either way. I would check if your hospital has that requirement.
Ask for your medical records. Find out why they brought in 6 different specialties. If it’s at the UT hospital, it’s probably because it’s a teaching hospital. You can challenge each specialty as to whether they were needed or not.
How long were you in the hospital? I don’t want to get personal, but if you want to send me an email, I will be happy to provide any help sorting things out to decrease your monetary obligations…
