Saban won't be long for the shifting NCAA landscape. He is setting himself up to appear as a bastion of integrity for when he departs. Everyone outside of Alabama sees right through his false posturing.

Great story.

I believe Bama has been cheating and Saban is fighting to keep that competitive advantage.

However, I believe it worth noting the distinction in his comments. He didn't say, "We paid 3 mil to our players"... and then say "They're buying players and we're not." He said that he supports NIL, encourages the players to get agents and get paid, while the school and coaches stay out of it, as opposed to booster collectives that are part of the recruiting process and have the coaches budgeting the $$$. He's claiming that bama players made $3 mil and the school had no part in it while other schools were actively paying players through NIL collectives.

Bama has a booster collective they are just not good, so he is pissed and crying foul about it don’t let that snake oil salesman swindle you
