As a result even people who bought the media lie all these years are starting to realize that saban cheated his way through every single game at bammer. The undeniable result is that there is no actual evidence that he can win on a level playing field. And he clearly doesn't think he can. Saban's "stolen valor" as a "genius" is exposed. He's just a privileged crook who benefitted from a double standard. That's why he couldn't win in the NFL -- he had to obey the same rules as every other team. He can't do it at bammer, either.

I can't say if I do or don't, at this moment, agree with all of this; but, I love this post.

I’ve heard different on the Dooley hire. I heard we had a plane en route for Kyle Wittingham when the deal got torpedoed by a prominent booster. Dooley was us hoping we’d get some of what Saban was doing by proxy.

The smart move would have been to make Kippy interim.

I’m a doubter of the Whittingham conspiracy…he would’ve been an epic program changer tho in my thinking. I know the Interim Kippy is a popular revisionist program savior but I doubt Hamilton wouldn’t chosen anybody better a season later and have no faith that Kippy would’ve salvaged that 2010 class. Acceptable if the next hire is a homerun…resubmit negative prediction. We took a beating top to bottom because the whole root was rotten. That wasn’t going to change with just a HC.

Alabama's wealthier alumni base has been very capable of handing out payments before NIL. Judging by Saban's dismay this same group is not gonna be able to compete with the bigger pockets at other universities. Apparently by early indications one of those resides in Knoxville. Little Nicky's deal with the devil is about to reach the end of the line.

They dominated by (illegally yet capably) doling out relative pennies on the dollar. Errybody gets a Charger and the top 5 stars (not all) get $50k to $100k. All under the protection of the corrupt Emmert NCAA. UGA. tOSU and Clemson enjoyed the same wink wink nod deal and only tOSU seems primed to compete without missing a beat.

Saban is so pressed because he’s not going to dominate the same way any longer. He has been on a different level and those days will be coming to an end pretty soon. He knows it. Let these schools have a few more insane recruiting classes and you’ll see. That’s all this is about at it’s core.

I think of it the same way as pro bodybuilders and gym rats who are clearly juiced to the gills but insist they're natural. They've spent their lives claiming they're something they aren't and even if it becomes socially acceptable they'll never admit the truth. Too deep in the lie to go back

It's more like, competitive body builders that were juicing illegally, suddenly rallying against the juice after it was made legal for everyone. They just lost a competitive advantage.
