This may sound like a get off my lawn idea but I think bat flip towards the other team's dugout should be an out or ejection. I'm all for bat flips but doing towards the other teams dugout is too much.
I agree when the other team has the third base dugout. But when the other team has the first base dugout it’s hard to avoid.

I think everybody is being a little rough on Saban, think about it. Since winning a NC at LSU he thought he could impose his will on the Pro's. He soon found out that in order to win in the NFL you work with the players and they don't work for you and many players have more clout than the coach. And this was not good.

The powers that be at Bama called him said they have the Bank of Alabama and a system that is so layered it is virtually impossible to unpeel and they can buy any player he wants.....and in time he could become a legend. Well the ego thing kicked into overdrive and we are where we are. In some circles he is God-like, with a Crimson Aura and everything. And he said this is good.

Then the NIL comes along, recruits see other opportunities at schools that are near Civilization and are paying money as well. His old tricks don't work anymore. And he said this is bad.

The only thing left to do is throw a planned tantrum to alert the entrenched toothless fan base that if they don't send cash quick Valhalla will soon turn back into that clay dirt, pine tree sh*t hole it is. And he said, really I need money....bad.

So, he is trying to save face, save Tuscaloosa, save the SEC from the mean old people out there trying so hard to take what he has worked so hard to create through slight of hand, money, cheating, arrogance and the ability to manipulate the rules in his favor. And he said this is REALLY BAD.

So have a heart, his feelings have been hurt and he just needs some time to process.

Should we spot State 10 runs right from the jump tonight?
That was insane last night. While it was a sight to see, I found myself kinda not enjoying it after about the 3rd inning. Just to win by such a ridiculous margin...well...it just didn't feel that great. Yeah, I know it's our job to hit and their job to get us out, but that sort of game isn't enjoyable to me. Now if it's UGA or bama....that's another story altogether.

Lil Nicki:

Dolphins- 15-17 (.469)

Alabubba- 183-25 (.880)

Any questions as to why he doesn't want parity?
To be fair though, Saban tried to get Drew Brees which would have changed that team entirely. When he didn't get him is when he left.

The Titans could have got Brees as well when he was let go by San Diego but instead we got VY....Buds Guy.

Keep shaking your head. If you're talking about me, all I said was we need to have the ability to manufacture runs in low scoring games when the ball is NOT going to leave the yard.

And Luc was in a bad slump and leaving umpteen runners on base.

I was saying the same thing. He was in a bad slump and anybody who says he wasnt has not been watching. I just hope he stays hot.

"Saban said decided to leave the Dolphins after the team chose not to sign quarterback Drew Brees."

"Saban’s incessant complaints about Dr. Don’t Know My Ass From A Handful Of Sand have never made complete sense. Saban ran the show in Miami. Saban could have overruled the doctor. Saban, if necessary, could have brought Dr. Andrews to Miami for a one-on-one meeting with owner Wayne Huizenga. Saban could have done something if he wanted Brees as bad as Saban now claims he does."

"Saban’s official story on the subject isn’t surprising. By insisting that he wanted Brees and that someone else prevented it from happening, Saban creates the impression that the Dolphins would have been what the Saints became. And that not-so-subtle attitude undermines the special chemistry that Brees developed with Saints coach Sean Payton. Saban, a defensive coach by background, may not have gotten the same sustained excellence out of Brees that Payton did."

"The truth seems to be that Saban made a calculation that eventually blew up in his face. Instead of moving heaven and earth to get Brees (and, surely, if Saban had told Huizenga, “Sign Brees or I’m out of here after the season,” Huizenga would have signed Brees), Saban opted for Culpepper. And it didn’t work. Once it became clear it wasn’t working, that’s when the rumors began to percolate that Saban wasn’t long for the NFL."

"But Saban will surely continue to push his own narrative on the subject, because it’s always better to be able to say that someone else didn’t know his ass from a handful of sand."

Of all the VN conspiracies I think I get a kick out of "SEC offices are in Birmingham so they must be Bama plants" the most. Are they biased to all teams by geographic distance? Like does Auburn get the second most corrupt bias and Mizzou get hosed the worst?
No, but when our athletic department was full of Bama grads and we had a gump as our head coach, things around Rocky Top were historically bad. The hate between Bama and Tennessee is real and nothing is off the table with tide fans.

Boston Celtics swap Williamses, go small to stomp Miami Heat in Game 2 (espn.com)

I was so happy to read this article, and the quote below is unbelievable:

"But then, at the 5 minute, 14 second mark of the first quarter, Grant Williams checked into the game. And, from that point forward, this game -- and this series--- fundamentally changed."

With his basketball IQ, work rate and defensive abilities plus his new outside shot he has really made a nice role for himself and it keeps growing. I watched the first half and he was always talking and pointing out defensive stuff and even posted up PJ Tucker a couple different times inside on offense when he had the chance. So happy to see him doing so well.

Amen! Total control was a requirement for his signature. Dating back to 2004 when the Chicago Bears all but sealed him up. And that was with his close friend, Jerry Angelo in charge.

As a Dolphins fan, I sign off on this. A lot of Dolphins beat writers for local media that have been covering the team for a long time also had similar thoughts on the situation.

Yes but he was staring down the dugout. I'm good with stare downs. He did end the shut out but no bat flips towards the opposing teams dugout. If they want a reason then say it's for player safety or something like that
