So if we go to a 9 SEC game schedule, KY can't make one of their 3 OOC games Louisville?

Part of me thinks the SEC needs to monitor OOC scheduling to prevent teams from loading up on only cream puffs.
Do this:
9 conference

Remaining 3 must be at least:
2 FBS
1 FCS

Of the FBS:
At least 1 P5.

So Zakai signed a deal with Epic Games.... Wonder what for? The twitter release mentions Fortnite because that's what Epic's most known for but I kinda doubt that's what his deal is about. I know Fortnite sells a metric ton of cosmetics and skins but I can't see him driving that kind of market until he's more well known. Epic sells a lot of games in general and is invested in being a DRM/Store front option to Steam so there's probably various promo work I just don't see the direct line here. Kinda feels like Epic is banking on future NIL value but with Zakai who knows if he's going to get that chance due to his size.

Would love to know the details of this and/or if Epic and other companies are just buying up promo options with college players across the country (that's a strategy I can def. see happening at some point because you can get a lot of cheap work and if you've got a giant stable and one of your players hits you've got instant access to something hot).

Just take a look at Stoops' contract, and you'll understand why he'll never support moving away from 4 OOC games:

Stoops' previous deal provided a $250,000 bonus for reaching seven wins in a season as well as an additional quarter-million bucks for every W beyond No. 7. The new deal ups that threshold a bit: Stoops will receive $250,000 for each at No. 9 and beyond -- but he'll still get an automatic 1-year extension each time Kentucky wins seven games in a season and an automatic 2-year extension for each 10-win season. Those additional seasons will also trigger a $250,000 raise for each new season.

So, if Kentucky goes 7-6 in 2022, Stoops will be locked in for 2028 at $8.25 million.

Epic Games also owns Unreal Engine, quickly becoming one of the best free platforms for building video games. Zakai (and other players) could be part of a future video game being developed by Epic. Maybe a college version of NBA Street? I think Zakai's story and also his hometown gives him far more appeal as a NIL value than people realize. New York loves to pull for their hometown folks and we know how much VolNation does so as well.

I really hope we never lose tony
We (us idiot fans) will have to treat him right during seasons that don't go so great. Getting dumped on by our bunch of pure morons when things don't go well could run him off.

See how they were treating Rick Barnes half way through this past season, and after we lost in the Dance for an example. Rick has put two of the best and most, if not THE best and most entertaining and fun to watch teams in UT history out there for us, and we still have a ton of idiots in here during games wanting him gone...saying pure stupid 💩 like "It's time" and "he will never win anything" all the time.

How about we let them actually fail and put a couple years of losing teams out there before we start bitchin and moanin.

From R/CFB - Kentucky RB Chris Rodriguez

What we know for sure;

Whatever happened, is completely unrelated to his DUI on Mothers Day

It is not academic related, as he has already graduated.

Kentucky officials are completely silent on everything. Every time media members have reached out, both officially and unofficially, they've stayed completely tight-lipped. Not a single word officially out of Kentucky.

Note: A couple media members have said they have heard what's going on through side channels, but won't talk about it or report on it until they have more official information as Kentucky will not confirm anything right now.

The new rumors going around is that it's potentially something regarding NIL or just straight up receiving money. There is a question as to how Chris Rodriguez acquired an apparently very large amount of money. The couple comments I saw on it said it's potentially an amount that even NIL couldn't reach.

EDIT: Asked a friend that's been right with this stuff in the past and they said what's currently being rumored/circulated about the money is that Chris Rodriguez had a job, but he was paid drastically more than what he was supposed to be paid, and the extra amount was likely under the table and not reported on taxes.

Now, this is where there rumors/reports kind of split off.

Some are just saying the above, that there's apparently an investigation going on by the university, the NCAA, and potentially even the feds. Apparently it's not a question as to if it's legal or not, but if it's federally breaking the law or not. He might have acquired this money in a way that even with NIL, is still illegal. He could just have to repay the money and then serve a suspension handed down by the NCAA or the university, or it could be something drastically worse and involve federal charges.

Some of the other rumors are saying that there's potentially multiple Kentucky players involved in this investigation, and apparently is the reason Alabama transfer WR Javon Baker had his scholarship pulled by Kentucky and was told to transfer elsewhere. That he was somehow involved in all this.

Every single media member and source has changed their view since the past week based off the information they've heard, and from what they've been told by sources within the program, is that the odds are now more likely than not that Chris Rodriguez will be suspended for the season or outright kicked off the team rather than serve some form of minor suspension.

It seems like everyone that's heard from sources within the program and whispers of what's going on, holds the option that it's now no longer a matter of if, but when it'll be announced that Chris Rodriguez is suspended/kicked off the team.

Kentucky starts their fan camps in 3 days on June 5th, and has multiple camps over the course of the next 2 weeks. We'll likely know a lot more once these camps start, as fans and media will get the chance to talk to players and coaches and outright just see if Chris Rodriguez is with the team right now.

Some fans on r/cfb are speculating on whether this story involves drugs, gambling, or mob enforcer duties. lol

Most seem to think it's probably evasion of taxes.

You obviously hate to see it. jmo.

Lol...Stupid Kentucky can't even buy players the right way even when it is legal..lol..what a bunch of dumbasses..🤣

Literally all you have to do to stay clean in the NIL era is do the work, the due diligence it takes to do it legally and above board..

Man...a debate about GOAT stand-up is for sure challenging. Not only is comedy the most subjective form of entertainment there is, it also changes as individual people grow/change as they get older.

I don't know if I could ever pick one person...I enjoy quite a few. Have seen some big hitters in person too.

Jim Gaffigan & Eddie Izzard are both personal favorites, really love Tom Segura as well. Carlin, Norm, Pryor, Chappelle, and even Eddie Murphy also all are legends.

I'll go the other way...and say Brian Regan is probably one of the most overrated and I actually like him. But overpaid to see a show, he does basically 45 minutes of old bits for what ended up being exactly an hour long set. His opening act ran almost as long as he did.

A rare non booster NIL deal.
