I currently wear a pair of Brooks Revels. The ASICS I tried on yesterday made the Brooks feel really cheap. I need to try a higher end Brooks shoe like the Ghost or something like that to compare. The Revel is a cheaper pair. I like how the Brooks look
Ghost is the best value imo, but the Glycerin series is my favorite.

Had an Orange kitty once.

He died in 2019. Came home one day to see him breathing shallowly, with Tachycardia. Had to put him the sleep.

Was very traumatic for my girls, who loved him very much. As we say our family prayers at night, they still to this very day pray for him.

They asked me last night why he died? I tell them when we got him he had worms, pneumonia, and was dehydrated. Not sure if he ate a rhododendron leaf or if it was result of issues pertaining to the aforementioned.

He was only animal ive ever owned that you could flip over onto his back, kids could pull hair (have three babies), slam toys near and he'd just chill.

It's pretty much impossible to have a big city without public transit. Let alone host major events, traffic would make it literally impossible for those extra many thousands of people to get places before too long. Nashville traffic is already close to unbearable without any extra influx.

What's the push back against it? Certain politicians want their buddies to get the contract instead of doing it properly?
Yeah probably. I genuinely don't think it was a coincidence that Berry's scandal was leaked immediately after her transit plan got passed.

Ok...since somebody asked about running shoes, I am going to ask which hiking shoe/boots do you guys think are great?

I got Hoka Speed Goat 2 hiking boots to walk through Glacier National Park. Not sure I'd carry 5 days of supplies on my back in them, but for day hikes (carrying a pack) they were unparalleled. Loved them! Zero break in time. Cushy. No blisters. Great traction with comfortable lugs. Good support (again, wouldn't carry a lot of pack weight because I'd want a stiffer ankle support for more control).

Edit I should clarify I got the boot version. There is a Speed Goat 2 Trail Runner version that doesn't have the ankle support.

I have been wearing Merrils for years, I have loved them because they always felt good, and last forever..but this latest pair doesn't feel great at all.

I only day hike now...actually until I sonehow figure out how to get my knees replaced, I can barely make it more than a few relatively flat miles a day...it took every bit of pain tolerance I could muster to make it to Taft Point which I used to could have done in a few minutes.

I haven't had a cat in years, but the dog that lives with me now is just like that. If I leave my bedroom door open, he jumps into bed while I'm sleeping. He finds a spot and won't move. I'll wake up with both my legs arched over him, like a pillow, while he's snoring his butt off.
I could see a dog being like what you say, but cats ive known have been too uppity, 😆

I too had an orange kitty, who, very sadly passed, when she was put under for some routine dental work. Broke my stupid heart.

I almost got those. I ended up going with some Solomon Ultras and love them.

Different model but I can attest to the quality of the brand. I've worn the **** out of my Hoka Sky Kaha's in the last year from hiking in Zion to Yellowstone. They're solid and look good enough for everyday use as well.

I enjoy my Nike Trail 3's a lot as well, especially with the gore-tex material.
