Means nothing. The creator and company pronounce it “jif.”
Do you say FOMO, YOLO, or PIN with the correct vowel pronunciations? No, you don’t. Spoken acronyms don’t have to follow the same pronunciation as the word.
Your argument holds no weight.
That’s what makes her the most mad. I’ll go out on Saturday’s. To the watering hole 2 miles down the street before the prime time kick to watch the game and get even drunkerLmao.
Here comes 4 months of "YoU nEvEr Go OuT oN SaTuRdAyS"

Do you not realize the post you quoted just proved your argument false. The creator, may he Rest In Peace, can pronounce it however he wants, but the world will decide what is the common way to pronounce it… and that’s GIF, not JIF. We’re talking about a Graphics Interchange Format… not a peanut butter brand.
We watched it last night! My wife and I were wincing like every other scene! Lol
Dude is straight up nuts!!
Hope he hangs it up and lives to tell about it all. I noticed all the other pioneers of solo died in their late 40s/50s continuing to “try” to solo climb.

But I just listed three of them, vowel or consonant. It would apply to any letter that has alternante pronunciations like vowels, C, G, etc.I really wasn't making an argument, per se. Just making light of the obvious contradiction.
But for what it's worth, there may be exceptions, but I can't immediately name a single acronym that intentionally violates the normal pronunciation of the initial consonant.
