My ideal class this year would be 1 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 2 TE, 5 OL, 3 Edge, 5-6 DL, 3 ILB, 3 CB, and 3 S. And maybe a kicker.

We have the QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 OL, 1 Edge, 3 DL, 1 ILB (hopefully soon to be 2), 1 CB, and 3 S.

Fingers crossed on Simmons and Ramil committing to the good guys. If we can get them, I wouldn't mind another IOL. Really hope we see some CB and DL commit soon.

When he came to TN he was definitely a loser. He had neve win a game in college football and was horrendous in the NFL. What he is doing now is irrelevant.

Ooookay.

He was 7-6 his first year (taking over a 5-7 team), was a FG away from beating the National Champs, turned Crompton from a chump to the 2nd best QB in the SEC by season’s end, and was bringing in an absolute haul in recruiting. What he’s doing now in the SEC at Ole Miss is what he was on the verge of doing at UT.

But yeah, “what he’s doing now” at an SEC school isn’t relevant…what’s relevant is what he did coaching the Raiders. 😂🤣

Kiffin is a good coach, whether you like that fact or not. I prefer the guy we have now, but that doesn’t make Kiffin any less talented.

I wouldnt say absolute haul. Top to bottom Fulmer's 05 class was much better.

That class was flaky. Had Kiffin not left we'd either be on probation or he'd have been fired.

That team was very average. Saw them several times and even drove to Atlanta. I will say he got most out of Crompton.

He had to grow up and take some lumps to get to where he is now. Still cant believe he cheated on Layla.

The first part of your sentence is true, but I’m curious how you pronounce giraffe.
gee-raff, especially when kids are involved. there's an extra 'ju-e-raff-uh'.

It may be passive aggressive. Sometimes that's my way to mess with them after they've been absolute buggers at bed time.

I prefer a genius who values and prioritizes class and character over one that has demonstrated he does not. I choose to take the option of hating a guy not for leaving, but how he left. Integrity is what it is. It is not required in coaching to post wins. Just not part of the DNA for some folks. His and his staff's actions on the last day on our payroll and with UT phones contacting kids and telling them not to go to class in order to not trigger their clock is a classic display of his lack of character. His more recent coaching fake injuries simply shows it continues as a lifestyle. His buddy Coach O has shown the same characteristics. Penn State anyone? Tressel ring a bell? Baylor? How about Pruitt? Risk/reward for guys like this is what it is. Think the Mannings are all in on him, or did they just apply some class and skirt the issue? Part of the risk with him there? Could be.

Cool. Take issues with his character. But not the point of the discussion.

I couldn’t care less about Kiffin and I wish many in our fan base would stop giving him free rent in their heads. He is what he is: a talented coach with a great offensive mind who has made some stupid career choices and some unscrupulous moves. He’s no longer our coach, so I don’t really care. The point was, he’s not a “loser” on the Pruitt and Dooley level. He’s actually a good coach, like him or not.
