Paul Hornung stole one from Coach Majors despite the fact that ND had a losing record.

Yes but Johnny's answer on that was always 100 percent correct. He would always say, Jim Brown should've won it. Not him, not Paul but Jim. He knew that in 1956 Brown had no chance of winning but if you look at his numbers from that year you will agree with Majors. Jim Brown's the one who got robbed and Johnny Majors was a man far ahead of his time and his place (a man of the South) for saying it.

Thank you very much for that reminder. I completely agree.

Any of y'all know much about laptops?
I needed to get one, so I headed to the pawn shop, ofcourse. . .

Got an HP Pavilion 15 gaming laptop for $125. Has Ryzen 7 and nvidia GeForce gtx stickers on it. . .

I have been trying to learn about it, but all the reviews I've found are for ryzen 5. . .
Just wondering if it's pretty good, worth the $125. It's less than a year old, apparently.

I mean you could argue that Majors got injured so maybe that should count for something but the issue was really bigger than Johnny and he was smart enough to know that. But to be honest, Majors was always such a contrarian, go against the grain even when the rest of the state might be more conservative or disagree kinda guy that it doesn't surprise me that that was his stance on things.

That's a steal for 125 bucks as long as it's in running order. Ryzen is good processor and that looks like an HP Envy - an Envy markings?

ETA: I see it's branded Pavillion but that may be due to it being AMD as opposed to Intel. You can go into the control panel and see the settings (how much ram you have and your hdd size). Laptops often hide the user guide somewhere in the start bar.

You should be able to run most games with that. Maybe not at ultra or high but at least at medium. But from the looks of that model I would guess you can run many on high with it.

Double ETA: I wanna go to this pawn shop. Damn good pickup.

Says 16gb ram 1tb hard drive.

I've looked a few up and found some that look like it, but they're ryzen 5 or 8gb or 256gb, etc. Can't seem to find this specific one. I kinda wonder if someone upgraded the harddrive or something. . .but yeah, everything works as it should. I don't really play games, but I'm downloading war zone just to see how it performs.

It's in Maryville, Midland shopping center. They had a bunch of laptops for $125. This one was priced @ $399. I just asked if she could let me get it for less and she said $125.

You should be fine. Elden Ring requires 12gb ram but recommends 16gb and it's a good representative of new games (just came out). A terabyte is super-nice but that probably means you have a slightly slower hdd. The faster ones (m.2 NVME and the like - they are all SSDs) are usually 512gb because jumping to a terabyte is a big price jump. BUT more than likely you can add a solid state drive or SSD if you feel like the you need it. (Some games a faster hard drive really does benefit). I don't know for sure without knowing the model but I would be really surprised if you couldn't add an SSD alongside that HDD.

ETA: On hdds should be SATA vs m.2 and NVME because I can't remember that SATA is SSD. I think of SATA like I do old square traditional drives.

Right click on your windows start button, click device manager, and scroll down until you see display adapters. Click the little arrow and it should show the graphics card.

You can also right click the windows start button, click system, and that will show you the processor and ram.

Great deal regardless, if it works.

That price is worth the gas. I don't need a laptop right now (I've got a really great one) but that's a really good deal. If I lived in Maryville I'd pick one up to have as a backup (that is how good a deal I think it is).

I think you're right, unless someone already upgraded it, but I doubt it. Most things I've found are about the ryzen 5 model with 8gb & 256gb and they say it's a solid entry level gaming laptop. I guess maybe this one is a small step ahead of that.

Either way, I just needed something for emails and documents, etc. Looked on Facebook marketplace, eBay, etc, and nothing less than $350. This should do everything I need. Was really just curious about what it retails for. I'm fairly certain it's not close to $125

Thanks, I'll do that now. I'll take a pic and maybe y'all can tell me more.

First time season ticket holder and I was wanting to list for sale on ticketmaster the games I wont be able to attend.

But when I log into Ticketmaster, no Vols tickets show under my upcoming events and when I log into All Vols, nothing shows. Just a paid invoice for a parking pass. But I have an invoice from AllVols showing I ordered and paid 1200 for two tickets.

Is this normal or should I be concerned there was a glitch in the system?

I'm sure with a Ryzen 7 and a GTX graphics card it includes an SSD.

Determining which graphics card you have is key to gaming performance.

Processor's are at the point that unless you're doing competitive gaming most current gens can handle any game. A lot of it gets pushed to vRAM and RAM. That GTX card should be able to pick up any slack even if it's under recommended specs. I have run games on $500 wal*mart machines that had no graphics without much issue.

I have an Alienware now but what I'm saying is that hardware has come a long way and unless you are wanting to run a ridiculous frame rate on ultra max settings you should be able to run anything out with that.

I think he said that one was a 5. But **** I see what you're saying - my mistake. I think of SATAs as non-SSDs. I don't know why but I can't get it through my head. I guess because NVME and m.2 etc. are better.

I think he said that one was a 5.
The one he found reviews on was a Ryzen 5, which would be fine. His sticker says Ryzen 7.

I'm guessing it has a 1080p display so a Ryzen 7 and just about any GTX card should give pretty good performance. I'm guessing it probably has a GTX 1660.

Says and ryzen 7 with Radeon Vega mobile gfx, 2300Mhz, 4 cores, 8 logical processors.

Says 2 video cards. 1 is and Radeon rx Vega 10
2nd is nvidia GeForce gtx 1650

Not worried about the fake injuries. Heupel is pretty sharp, he can figure out how to counter it in his game plan.
He just plays with the top end of his offense eliminated by institutionalized and sanctioned cheating. All he can do. Beyond that, he can still scheme.
