Paul Hornung stole one from Coach Majors despite the fact that ND had a losing record.
Thank you very much for that reminder. I completely agree.Yes but Johnny's answer on that was always 100 percent correct. He would always say, Jim Brown should've won it. Not him, not Paul but Jim. He knew that in 1956 Brown had no chance of winning but if you look at his numbers from that year you will agree with Majors. Jim Brown's the one who got robbed and Johnny Majors was a man far ahead of his time and his place (a man of the South) for saying it.

Any of y'all know much about laptops?
I needed to get one, so I headed to the pawn shop, ofcourse. . .
Got an HP Pavilion 15 gaming laptop for $125. Has Ryzen 7 and nvidia GeForce gtx stickers on it. . .
I have been trying to learn about it, but all the reviews I've found are for ryzen 5. . .
Just wondering if it's pretty good, worth the $125. It's less than a year old, apparently.

Says 16gb ram 1tb hard drive. That's a steal for 125 bucks as long as it's in running order. Ryzen is good processor and that looks like an HP Envy - an Envy markings?
ETA: I see it's branded Pavillion but that may be due to it being AMD as opposed to Intel. You can go into the control panel and see the settings (how much ram you have and your hdd size). Laptops often hide the user guide somewhere in the start bar.
You should be able to run most games with that. Maybe not at ultra or high but at least at medium. But from the looks of that model I would guess you can run many on high with it.
It's in Maryville, Midland shopping center. They had a bunch of laptops for $125. This one was priced @ $399. I just asked if she could let me get it for less and she said $125.That's a steal for 125 bucks as long as it's in running order. Double ETA: I wanna go to this pawn shop. Damn good pickup.

Right click on your windows start button, click device manager, and scroll down until you see display adapters. Click the little arrow and it should show the graphics card. It's in Maryville, Midland shopping center. They had a bunch of laptops for $125. This one was priced @ $399. I think you're right, unless someone already upgraded it, but I doubt it. Most things I've found are about the ryzen 5 model with 8gb & 256gb and they say it's a solid entry level gaming laptop. I guess maybe this one is a small step ahead of that. You should be fine. Elden Ring requires 12gm ram but recommends 16gb and it's a good representative of new games (just came out). A terrabyte is super-nice but that probably means you have a slightly slower hdd. The faster ones (m.2 NVME and the like - they are all SSDs) are usually 512gb because jumping to a terabyte is a big price jump. BUT more than likely you can add a solid state drive or SSD if you feel like the you need it. (Some games a faster hard drive really does benefit). I don't know for sure without knowing the model but I would be really surprised if you couldn't add an SSD alongside that HDD.
Thanks, I'll do that now. I'll take a pic and maybe y'all can tell me more.Right click on your windows start button, click device manager, and scroll down until you see display adapters. Click the little arrow and it should show the graphics card.
You can also right click the windows start button, click system, and that will show you the processor and ram.
Great deal regardless, if it works.
I'm sure with a Ryzen 7 and a GTX graphics card it includes an SSD.You should be fine. Elden Ring requires 12gb ram but recommends 16gb and it's a good representative of new games (just came out). Determining which graphics card you have is key to gaming performance.I think you're right, unless someone already upgraded it, but I doubt it.
