This is where there is a misunderstanding.

I’m very much pro-UT. I love Heup and I love our recruiting and I’m freaking pumped for the season.

Things I am anti:

- fake insiders
- bashing recruits who choose another school
- the UK bball fan mentality where every other program is cheating, their players suck, and everything about them is horse poop

Me pointing out easily researchable facts like “hey we also schedule 3 laughable cupcakes every year” isn’t being anti-UT.

Can you research SOS rankings for Tennessee and Kentucky? Tennessee has a consistently tougher schedule than Kentucky in just about every SOS calculator/rankings I was able to find. You have also changed the wording in this post about scheduling compared to one of your previous posts today. I can only assume you did this to better fit your narrative.

What did I change? And what “narrative” am I pushing? That both teams schedule 3 cupcakes OOC? That both teams play in the same division of the same conference? That just bc we beat them last year doesn’t mean we will beat them this year?

@ACvol3 it’s posts like this that have pushed me to edge of full heel turn

?

I wasn’t hating on the cupcakes OOC. I simply said we also scheduled 3 cupcakes.

If y’all are mad we play a tougher schedule, you’re taking it up with the wrong department. I don’t schedule our games.

Since 2007, UK has played UL. UL's overall record is 104-84 (taking out 2020 because the SEC played a conference-only schedule).

Since 2007, UT's primary OOC opponent is 118-62. We played 6 teams with double digit wins (Oregon x2, Cincy, OU, VTech, and Pitt). One Oregon team played in the BCS Title game. One OU team made the playoffs. Cincy tied for their regular season title. Virginia Tech won their division, and Pitt won the ACC title.

The three bad losses were to UCLA x2 and to BYU.

I was simply pointing out that we do NOT do the same thing that Stoops does at UK (or Franklin did at Vanderbilt). Lately or traditionally.

We have (almost always) scheduled OOC for our fans, the team, or for TV. Stoops schedules for himself.

the UCLA losses killed me inside.

Who is Levis throwing to on this all star kentucky team I keep hearing about? I don’t think they have a WR that’s caught a TD for them on their roster. I can’t understand why they’re getting so ridiculously hyped. I just heard somebody on a podcast go on about how they’re loaded and have an elite o line and defense. They have like 2 offensive line starters coming back..
They got a guy from Virginia Tech who had a few average starter years in the ACC. Best year was last year 599 yards and 5 TD's. Oh boy he sure is gonna come into the SEC and dominate...

The thing is

UK has already peaked. They just aren't very talented. They have enough talent to conquer average teams. Even in our down years we beat them because we were still more talented than they were. They'll have solid teams that play fundamentally well.

Methinks we might blow the doors off of them. All our defense has to do is get like two more stops than they did last year and it's over because they lost most of their DB's who couldn't cover our guys.

If we can turn the 1st Quarter Boiz into 1st Half Boiz we will be unstoppable. Our offense puts so much pressure on the other team's offense. The 2nd quarter was often a stand for most of our opponents. We had to break their will in the 1st quarter. If we can keep that 1st quarter pace up for a whole half we can just put teams away immediately and hide. Not that I want to hide, I'd love to drop 100 on everyone.

Appalachian State was also a 10 win OOC opponent we faced.

Such a NegaVol, smh

I've been known to go over to the FF. Half the time I'm scratching my head, half the time I'm thinking they're crazy, and the other half I try to help. It's an easy way to get your good deed of the day done.

Over on the new GQ 2.0 (On3) they were saying the annual fee is at least $1 so all the riff raff from the free VN site doesn't come over...I almost took offense...then I realized they were talking about FFers and we joined arms.

PSA: don't get trapped by these dweebs hyping the wrong cats up in fall practice. Save yourselves.

I learn this every year. Every year I get hyped about two or three guys that you hear a lot about but then come season, they’re non factors.

Have to remember these media guys only see 20 minutes.

But damn it’s fun reading every word of it.

Apparently you’re having a real hard time realizing where you are. You are here>>>>>>….

1. A Vols fan site where we celebrate everything good happening for TN.
2. A Vols site where celebrate everything bad and wrong with our rivals.

So, yeah, KY would have one more horrendous loss every year if they played AL. And if they ever played an OK or an actual good team as an OOC game they would have two more losses every year to add on to their record. That has nothing to do with us.

Not sure why you’re acting like you need to make sure fans don’t act like fans do during preseason.

Hot take, but I wish we would do another home and home with a WC team.

You do realize Marco is the guy that complained that we didn't count Kentucky as a toss-up yesterday, and created the ability to finger waggle at us by redefining "toss-up" as anything north of "guaranteed win"... Right? Literally, he argued with us because we counted ourselves as favored in that game.

Yes, that’s why I said he doesn’t realize where he is. Thought he would be over it by today. It can be exhausting trying to make fans into intellectual observers.

Do any of you even follow the convos before chiming in? I said nothing of harm to UT or to hype up UK.

I’ll summarize:

Poster: UK schedule is cake. Can’t wait until we don’t play team A, B, and C

Me: uk plays 2/3 of those teams

Poster: yeah and they play 3 cupcakes OOC

Me: we also play 3 cupcakes

Chorus of posters: why do you hate UT??
