There was a stat last night I found super surprising. Herbie said Georgia had only one starter injured all year and that was Jacob Eason! Talk about luck

whats crazy is all the uga fans around here saying "ahh we will be back" like its some easy task and its just a given. Its so hard to get there and they got every break this whole season until last night and still had a couple different leads in the game. They didnt have one season ending injury all yr. They had great fortune and still let it get away. Just to say you will be back is just delusional bc nobody knows. Its so hard to do.

The East was historically bad.

Auburn beat Bama.

Oklahoma got the 2 seed.

Several things lined up for them. Credit to them for capitalizing but they were fortunate all year. That will be difficult to reproduce.

Maybe it doesn't matter but I think when hiring a coordinator it is a benefit for that coach to have been on the sidelines as opposed to the box. Just seems to be more of an adjustment for a coach that Is holed up only worried and experiencing play calling duties minus the rest.

Maybe a dumb thought but seems to matter imo

I would love for Saban to leave now but he probably wants 7 to be the best all-time.

But now would be perfect as CJP would not be an option for them.

Going through my Facebook feed and realizing just how many people are bandwagon Bama fans.

My friends list is shrinking by the second

It will be tough for Georgia to get back. Had good luck with injuries this season. Softer schedule because the East is awful. Didn’t get Bama in the title game.

Smart will have UGA in it every year but getting back to the playoff will be really tough.

It was a foregone conclusion that FSU would be in the title hunt every year with Jimbo. It was a foregone conclusion that OSU woukd go back to back the year they had Elliot and everyone returning.

Only foregone conclusion we should ever make is that Bama will be there as long as Saban is there.

And that injury probably propelled them to last night. I don’t think they go that far with Eason leading the offense.

Kamara’s 7.7 yards per touch this year is best in NFL history for s player with 200+ touches. 👀

Butch. “Let’s get Alvin 3-4 touches this week”

Just unbelievable that they had one injury all season. UT on the other hand is having to pull people out of the stands to field an Oline.

For me, the good things about last night were:

  • A Georgia loss
  • The end of Pruitt and Sherrer's days for those teams
  • Another Championship for Pruitt
  • Seeing the in-game adjustments by Pruitt's defense
  • Being reminded of the type of player Pruitt will field at UT (eventually)
  • UGA will lose at least 31 seniors

I hate that Bama won another championship for Saban, that both freshman QBs look like studs, and that the Vols will have to worry about those QBs for the next couple of years.

Congrats Coach Pruitt. Now, let's get to work making Tennessee great again!

Not especially. Think they lose week 2 on the road. Can also see them losing 2 of Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU.

They lose a ton.
LSU and UF are the two I think they could lose. However, I don’t think Mullen will have UF ready to compete yet and Orgeron ran off Matt Canada after a year and brought in a Cam Cameron guy. Think they’ll be bad.

We aren’t ready to go to Athens and compete and I don’t think Auburn can beat them there either.

Kinda see it that way too...

Saban has already got a collection of trophies, so one more isnt going to hurt us in the least. I don't want Smart building a dynasty(he very well may be)...I want the other Saban diciple to be the one that brings the NC trophy back to the SEC east...

the best thing about last night was the coaches' corner broadcast on espnnews.

it was really cool to listen to the conversations going on, and i could listen to David Cutcliffe talk football all day long. that guy ran that round table last night. i liked Gundy's candidness, and got the impression Bobo and Luke were just there to learn...lol. really cool broadcast idea though...really enjoyed it.
