Well, I know the media has discussed this ad nauseum, and thankfully they didn't decide to take this angle (it really wouldn't have made a lot of sense), but the juxtaposition of the players wearing #2 in these two pictures is striking. Compare how they handled similar situations (actually, I think Hurts' situation was even tougher to handle than Gaurantano's).

I know that people can mature, and if JG is the QB that gives us our best shot then hopefully he has matured and I will obviously wish him the best and fully support the coaches' decision. But I sure won't have my feelings hurt (no pun intended) if Coach Pruitt determines that one of our other QBs is better suited to lead our offense.

Big difference when your coach isn’t a liar though.

The East was historically bad.

Auburn beat Bama.

Oklahoma got the 2 seed.

Several things lined up for them. Credit to them for capitalizing but they were fortunate all year. That will be difficult to reproduce.

UGA is losing so much production on both sides. I'll be curious how big a step back they take.

the best thing about last night was the coaches' corner broadcast on espnnews.

it was really cool to listen to the conversations going on, and i could listen to David Cutcliffe talk football all day long. that guy ran that round table last night. i liked Gundy's candidness, and got the impression Bobo and Luke were just there to learn...lol. really cool broadcast idea though...really enjoyed it.

I loved it too, but I thought Bobo was pretty knowledgeable. Luke definitely seemed like the odd man out to me.

UGA will probably have some growing pains next yr having to replace so many veterans but they have so much talent coming in should still be a good season. Then the following year will likely resemble this past season. It's why playing the most talented guy regardless of age matters. Get their mistakes out early in their career and reap the benefits later

I assumed you would reply, and I can't argue with your point. I still wish JG would have tempered his disillusionment with unwavering support for his teammate.

Kamara was criminally underutilized but always had a team-first attitude. He even was quoted in the recent SI article as saying that he knew, as long as he got a shot in the NFL, that he would be fine regardless of how much more he could have proven in college.

I hope JG has developed a little more of that kind of character.

Bamas two qbs look like line backers compared to ours.

Luke's biggest contribution was that halftime was too short to talk to all the players and coaches. haha

You couldn't help but think about it, watching Hurts. He was all about his team, not self. Both Bama's quarterbacks seem to be top of the line character wise.

Kamara was a junior and had been to juco. Kid had already been humbled before he got here. Big difference in the two. JG will be fine. Character is fine on the kid. Had he kept acting out then yeah it would be a problem. But it was isolated and he had a valid reason to actually be mad at the time. Saban would’ve pulled the starter in that game but Jones didn’t have the guts to do the same in a far less pressurized situation.

You dont know what was said.

I'm not admonishing Butch but no one in this forum knows how that situation played out. What we do know is Guarantano made himself look really bad in front of a national TV audience.

What I also know is that he's 19 and allowed to make a mistake. He owned up to it and admitted he was wrong. If I'd have been in front of a camera during a disappointing time of my life at that age it would have been worse. Young men don't always do the right thing in times of struggle and frustration. If you look back on your life I bet you could find instances of this as well.

Difference between Dormady and Hurts. Dormady Led the team to a win that game.... Now onto the future!
