Difference between Dormady and Hurts. Dormady Led the team to a win that game.... Now onto the future!

This is a pretty silly point to make when Hurts has only lost 2 games in his career. I don't really care about who's right in your argument but this point is a ssssttttttrrrrrreeeeeettttttcvccccccchhhhhh. :loco:

Don't know the conversation history here but another difference in those two is Hurts is simply better than Dormady. Dormady crapped his pants last year. I think Guarantano will be the starter next year.

The games that were singled out both happened in the Mercedes Benz stadium. Dormady stayed in and led his team to victory. Hurts was replaced and Tua led the team to victory

You dont know what was said.

I'm not admonishing Butch but no one in this forum knows how that situation played out. What we do know is Guarantano made himself look really bad in front of a national TV audience.

Taking what Butch said in camp and leading up to the game left the impression that it was a very tight battle for qb, almost could go either way. Who’s to assume he did not say that to JG? JG made himself look bad, but I understand the frustration. By the end of the season, he was acting more mature and taking more blame than his head coach.

Pause for a moment and consider a multiverse not so far away, where VN watches newly hired head coach Kevin Steele drop a loss to UCF, as he then makes his trot out to be at Tennessee full time

That nightmare was why I was was going off the deep end during the search, neither his name nor Doeren's should have ever even been uttered in connection to the HC position at UT.

I guess 55% completions and 6 td’s to 6 ints vs 61% and 4 tds to 2 ints doesn’t matter? Let alone he played Indiana state and umass in first 5 games
And had a better offensive line. JG had two walk-ons in front of him against LSU and vandy

I am hoping that he has grown enough that if he wasn't the starter next season, he would handle it with class. That was what was so admirable about Jalen Hurts or for that matter Eason.

Bama ain't coming back from 13-0 boys

I feel like this post is very likely to get quoted in a couple hours.

I ain't claimin' to be Nostradamus because my prediction coming true was almost a certainty. Catbone giving up early, saying it's over, and then turning out to be wrong happens at about a 99% clip. It was like taking candy from a baby.

bet we have a WR coach announced by Thursday evening at the latest.

may be today. i have no evidence of that, but given the OV's coming this week, i would think if they have a guy lined up, they'd want to get him announced asap. maybe tomorrow at the latest?

if it's Locksley it gets announced today or tomorrow IMO. He'd probably still need to meet with Fulmer before hiring which would happen today probably

I agree with some of the other posters here. I think Dormady is the best QB we have, especially for a less QB run-oriented offense. His play in the second halves of the GT and Florida games were the best QB play we had all season. I believe that his shoulder injury really affected his game and made him scared to get hit. I think he comes back healthy and ready to compete for the starting role.

JG was not impressive to me in any way. He seemed to be terrible in the short and mid range passing game. He had no clue how to get rid of the ball when being pursued, and finally, his ability to run actually hurt Tennessee's offense because he was too quick to scramble on every play. I'm not saying I'm giving up on him, but I think he has more to prove than Dormady.
