This is a great example of what I'm talking about.

ESPN has catered to the fringe fan. They make sport shows that are so drama filled that they can draw in people who otherwise would not watch.

The problem with that is that after a while they lose their original audience.

Exactly. I want to flip on Sportscenter like I used to and watch Westbrook dunk on someone or see Kamara juke someone out of their cleats.

I don’t want to see a round table discussion on politics in sports. Sports are entertainment

I started watching MLB network and the NBA channel instead of ESPN.

They have actual sport highlights.

I'd say it's mostly pc snowflake white people who are offended by it.

I grew up in Montana around Indians (Native Americans). They were in no way offended by any of these mascots, and as a matter of fact the Redskins were almost universally their favorite team. They felt like it was their team.

Also hated the Cowboys lol

One other turn-off to me that I haven't seen mentioned is the archaic review process. Maybe it's just me, but interminable reviews are torturous.

If a review/overturn cannot take place in 30 seconds or less, the original call should stand. If it takes watching a review 15 times from 5 different angles in super slow-motion to make a determination, then you're killing me slowly as a fan. And don't march the ref over to the sideline monitor...let reviews take place at NFL headquarters or something.

Heck, let me do it from my house...I don't always drink too much beer.

Agreed. I remeber I used to get up in the mornings and watch highlights while doing stuff around the house. Naow unless there is a game I'm intrested in on ESPN I don't watch that channel. ESPN did make one solid move in getting rid of that political windbag Jamelle Hill but now they need to go back to sports
