That and the fact he went on to have a pretty successful career at A&M.

Couldn’t beat out Peyton. Had a career in College Station.

How is that a bust :dunno:

For them he's not. But what did he do for us? He had his chance. Many said he would take over and was the more talented QB. Peyton had the name and the arm, but Stewart had the arm and legs to boot. But guess what? Peyton took it and never looked back. Stewart saw he couldn't compete so he transferred out. Again, this all comes down to your definition of "bust." Mine is this: how highly rated they were and did they produce at UT at the expected level? I don't think that's an unreasonable definition.

Like I said, it's not a bad thing for Stewart or for us that I'm throwing his name out there. Just worth a nod.

Hard to say what anyone would do in reaction to hearing their wife was having an affair with some hotshot football coach.. Twitter looked desperate for sure, but I dunno, the coach lost his job (and probably has some tending to his own family to do).

There's really no winning here, just assurance of mutual destruction.

At least he didn't try to kill Scott.

There are definitely things that responsible newly-single parents should not do or allow.

Fight in front of the kids.

Use the kids as bargaining chips in said fights (or anytime else).

Allow the kids' grandparents to speak poorly of the removed parent.

At least this is "anonymous" and no names are mentioned, not that it guarantees anonymity throughout the rest of the break up process. The guy got the coach fired, now time to delete social media, lawyer up, and hit the gym.

You should add..Don't cheat with other people..to that list.

Because “many said” (whatever that means...you take a poll?), you label him as a bust? It’s a negative term, dude...and he didn’t earn it. A higher rated recruit won the starting job and he moved on. He didn’t fail us or anybody.

Many was referring to the Knoxville Journal and other media way back when and many die-hard fans I was around. It was a true QB controversy. Stewart was an all-American QB. He was as highly regarded as Peyton was and had more physical tools. He had every opportunity (played in 11 games)...and still didn't win it. Do you not recall many of the fans wanting Stewart in the game against Bama? I actually remember wanting to see more of Stewart and less of Peyton myself. Peyton just outworked and outperformed him.

This isn't some attempt to throw some shade on him. I rooted for him at A&M. He did well, but just didn't produce up to the billing at UT. Simple as that. To me, if the hype doesn't equal production, then that's a bust.

What if his hype doesn’t match that of his higher rated classmates? No matter. We don’t agree. Circular argument and it’s futile to argue with the exit sign.

Hype was similar enough between the two, but if you don’t think by definition that Bryce Brown was a bust at UT, then we’re on different playing fields.

Good morning, gents. Happy Wanya day!

Staff has reached out to ND grad transfer CB Nick Watkins

Good player? Saw he had 8 pass breakups and played in every game but apparently wasn't a starter. Pretty solid stats for a backup. Wonder if he will be looking at his former DCs team at tx AM

I remember him looking pretty good except he had a propensity for fumbling snaps. That alone would have cost him the starting job. I think he started a couple of years after he transferred (Texas A&M maybe?)

Peyton spoke at Boys and Girls Club in Murfreesboro (held at Murphy Center) right after he was drafted. He spoke about Stewart in his speech. Said he would get to the facility early for meetings and lock the door so Stewart would be late.
