Also I was able to get a no contact between her boyfriend and BOTH of my kids. And since they live together and share a vehicle I have had the kids a lot more lately. I also stepped down from my management job and back into an hourly position in order to have more time off to watch them.

You are in my prayers. As a Mom of a child whose father never put her first, I applaud you for doing the right thing for your children. My daughter's dad missed her High School graduation and he is missing her College graduation this weekend because his other children are "still in school". Not sure why they cant miss one day. When you are having low days just remember...they will NEVER forget that you are fighting to be a part of their lives and making them the priority. It will mean more to them than you know right now.

One thing I can thank the power that be is that I never had kids with my crazy ex-wife. Good luck today!

Elsewhere, work continues around the athletic complex. The gutted weight room is starting to come back together. The project will be done before the end of the month, so that strength coach Craig Fitzgerald, when the whole team returns, can jump right into his offseason work, which again will focus on adding strength and weight. We have noted it before but this team, in head coach Jeremy Pruitt's eyes, is not big enough.

As Pruitt said Wednesday on Midday 180, “It’s the same reason they have classes in boxing. The heavyweights don’t fight the lightweights or the featherweights. It’d say the bigger men you get that are good football players the better off we’ll be.”

Tennessee would like a guy like Jacob Warren to weigh 250-260 pounds. They want their tight ends in that size range at least. They want a guy like Marcus Tatum to continue to add strength, particularly in his lower body. So adding girth will be the early focus of Fitzgerald's summer workout plan.

Before summer workouts begin though, it's about the classroom as players are finishing the spring semester, which ends on May 8th. Summer school starts on May 31st so players will be return the weekend of May 25th, except for the handful who are staying for mini-term.

Of course, all eyes will be on whether or not everyone returns for the summer or if some guys look to head elsewhere after going through spring practice and having post-spring interviews with a brutally honest head coach.
