I wonder if the VQ comment about wanting Jacob Warren to be 250-260 meant the staff literally wants Jacob Warren at that weight, or if his name being used was simply to imply the staff wanted tight ends in general at that weight.

Because IIRC, Warren arrived very tall and lanky. Like 210lbs. Kind of an oversized receiver at 6'6" than your prototypical TE. His best attributes seemed to be his athleticism and hands, and I wonder how adding 40+ pounds would affect that.

At any rate, sounds like Warren might be a red shirt candidate.

I remember reading somewhere last month that Warren had already put on 15 or 20lbs since arriving on campus. Another 20lbs this summer isn't out of the question.

Yeah, they haven't disclosed his injury.

If he doesn't RS, they may move him to WR. A RS year would be better, though.

The Cleveland Browns apparently won’t make the same mistake made by Butch Jones, as the team announced on Friday that Berry has officially been added to the team as a receiver. At least now Berry will be able to showcase his ability to make plays with the ball in his hands with the Browns, which gives him a significantly better shot at making the roster as an undrafted rookie free agent.
