The rumor was that Nick Reviez accused Bray and Da'Rick in the lockerroom of throwing the game because they didn't want to go to a crappy bowl game. But there had also been rumors during the week of the game that Bray had the flu, so who knows what the truth is? But for whatever reason, he was badly missing wide open receivers all game.

I can believe the Reviez rumor. He seemed like someone who would call them out.

There were rumors several upper classmen were done and didn't want to play in a lower tier bowl. Not sure any were intentionally throwing the game but some didn't really give a darn.

I think many of them made a comment like that after they lost to kind of justify it. “I didn’t want to go to the damn Birmingham bowl anyway.”

The next day Dooley offered his resignation to Hart and he wouldn’t accept it. Oh what might have been.

Except for Bray played like pure dogcrap in the game..he missed open receivers all day...badly. A guy with his much talent throwing the ball...it is really hard to believe he could play that bad...I mean he was putrid.

I loved Nick Reviez. He was always gave his all every single game, and was part of the glue that held those Dooley squads together. That's someone who bleeds orange.

IIRC Bray had an injured throwing hand and had missed the previous game(s). Dooley brought him back too early and started him vs KY anyway because Bray with an injured hand was still thought to be better than the backup QB. This was why he missed so many open receivers that game.

If Dobbs was on the 98 team Tee isn't starting. I love Tee but Dobbs is better. Cutt with Dobbs running his offense would have been amazing. Manning, Shuler and Clausen are top three though.

I love Dobbs, but Tee was a waaay better passer. Dobbs was a better runner easily, but looking at the complete passer, no doubt that Tee is clearly better than Dobbs.

I agree with cole slaw, but unless you have some bbq that is only so-so, where you need to add some taste to the blandness, I can't imagine masking the flavor of pulled white pork with cheese, especially pimento cheese (which I do love with mayo) But, it is about personal tastes, of course. I remember freaking out when I first saw people putting chili on Mac and cheese.
