Based on what Murray believes is a good CEO, then Saban is probably the worst! He doesn't give a flip about the administration, fans, nor about the media. He's a great coach who hires great assistant coaches and he WINS. When you win, all the other things just fall in line in your wake.

Just curious... do you guys think it’s acceptable to punch someone in the face for putting cheese on their BBQ pulled pork sandwich?

Depends: was there cole slaw on the sandwich too? If so, no punch. Maybe just shove them a little...

If not, then punch followed by kicking them while they are down. :)

Listening to Cole Cubelic’s blistering critique of our roster on Josh Ward’s podcast this morning makes me dial back my expectations. When literally everyone in the media is telling you your team stinks and has a bad roster, you have to listen.

5.5 is a good betting line for wins this season. The difference between 5-7 and 7-5 will be a handful of plays. Any result outside of that range will be a shocker. And 7 wins alone may be a shocker.

Cubelic called Tennessee right now the hardest rebuild he has seen when you account for where the program is roster wise, where our opponents are and where our fanbase’s expectations are.

My long standing view since the Schianomo is that Pruitt has no honeymoon. This fall will be interesting to say the least.

Any of you guys in the air conditioning biz? Our a/c crashed yesterday and it's hot as Hades in my area of South Florida right now. Last night and this morning were not a lot of fun.

Here are my requirements...I'll need a new one installed before sundown and I'm hoping you will give me a really good deal...you know, minus all the ugly mark-ups such as overhead, installation, taxes, etc.

Orange glasses aside, this roster isn’t as horrible as the media is making it

I would gladly help you out if I could but you're a long ways away from me. When you say crashed, what does that mean?

I just want to have a real football program again..losing to Vandy and Kentucky so much the last few years has been traumatic to me as a fan. Losing four of our last six to freakin joke program Vanderbilt is something I never though I would or could see happen. I hate Butch and Dooley, and almost hated the teams involved for that.

During this time period, it may be best that I live in Texas. I can kinda pretend it didn’t really happen. There would be a mass murderer/serial killer loose in Tennessee if I lived there during that time.

There may or may not have been some vandy fan disappearances in Texas during that same time period. I may have heard some rumors... :)

Meh it will be forgotten in a week. Not gonna ruin his career just backlash for being dumb. Member the Villanova guy who came off the bench and had this happen. He was still a bench player who got drafted first round. And it seems like there was a qb who had this happen right before the draft and still went top ten. Barely remember these things after a month or so. As long as they didn't sing it then people will forget it.

:lolabove: seent!

It is. Stop star gazing. Butch didn’t recruit many SEC caliber athletes and we’re implementing two new system with a first time HC, OC, and DC. Go into this season with no expectations. There are going to be awesome moments and there are going to be moments where people say “Pruitt just isn’t a head coach”. The season will be more enjoyable if you go in with the mindset of watching the program and team get better each week

It quit working. Motor died and the coils have a very limiited expected life span...to give you some perspective, say Butch Jones represents the coils of our a/c unit and we're about 7 games into the 2017 season. That's the level of optimism my a/c guy is providing.

May just be how you translated his comments, but if he said Tennessee was the “hardest rebuild he has seen,” that is being dramatic. There have been other tough rebuilds. We don’t have the depth, but we have some playmakers.

So much unknown with roster. Fans will overestimate what those unknown will do and media will usually paint it negative. Truth lies in the middle so I'm still on the 6-8 win range including bowl.

The roster argument and the no coaching experience are two different arguments. Sure, we may have a few times where the coaches make some mistakes, but the roster has players. There are SEC level athletes at almost every position.

Hardest rebuild he has seen? Guess he wasn't around during the last few coaching hires in Knoxville. The roster is way better than most of these talking heads believe. They look at the 4-8 record and form an opinion based off that alone. He's wrong.
