Considering we had NO BODIES on the OL enough to field the O&W Game and he was talented enough to fill in? Says tons about his mentality...he’ll be a starter.

I considered what the other poster said and after remembering the circumstances came to the same conclusion as you.

If you’re low on bodies on the OL, chances are you wouldn’t move a starter from the DL over for the spring. You would move someone further down the depth chart imo

BVS (in spite of Pruitt's seemingly positive comments)...

I can't let myself count on either Hall or Smith until I see them on the field.

If I'm reading this right...if Emerson starts over Gooden I think a lot of us will be surprised and even disappointed.

Well... depends on if it's saying something great about Emerson or bad about Gooden... cause if Emerson starts and produces I'm excited to have quality Gooden depth with 4 years of Emerson left

SMH...I am really totally shocked that none of them have quit. The difference has to be a complete shock to them.

IMO it shows just how much the previous coaches let them down as they all just seemed desperate for quality leadership. I mean since Pruitt was hired only 2 have transferred and they had already made up their mind before he was even considered. And after spring practice when everyone thought a bunch of kids would be shocked into quitting, only one even considered it and it only took one short meeting with Pruitt to squash that. And according to Pruitt it didn't even take much convincing as DKJr was really just seeing what his options were. These kids all want to get better and be winners and seem to genuinely appreciate having someone drive them and hold them accountable and lead them instead of just trying to be their friend and be desperate for praise.

That game and the 2 UGA wins are the only bright spot from the Butch era.

Beating a top 10 SCjr team was pretty fun too.

Also smoking Big10 teams in bowl games while thinking we were on the rise. I was at that Northwestern game and it was awesome.

Top 10 preseason ranking was a blast for me followed by those first 5 games. When Foreman poked that ball out at A&M I convinced myself we were a team of destiny until it got Butch’d

I don't know. I figured if I put something out there I could get up to speed on what everyone was thinking. I'm usually only around for the spring and fall so I miss a lot during the offseason.

Regurgitated info from a paid site spoken as first hand factual isn’t quite solid info IMO. Just saying.. that authoritative, first hand false insider schtick gets old from LA.

At least just be upfront like Ron and Gucci and not try to act like it’s firsthand knowledge and just simply share info.

LA and I have had a difference a time or two, but I am fairly confident has a connection(s). He has generally stated things well before they have unfolded or been discussed by paid sites.

I guess I'm thinking I like what could be our options on the offensive line, the defensive line, and with the linebacking corp - regardless of the configuration of the 2-deep. I like our numbers in those groups. I'm struggling with the secondary and the offensive skill positions. I think we may go back to old school with WRs where we may only see 4 or 5 guys in the rotation, if even that.

Gators’ recruit decommitment list is rated higher than commit list - Tomahawk Nation

Florida’s recruiting is struggling a bit. Especially in the state of Florida.

The Gators’ class ranks 33rd nationally and 10th in the SEC.

A helpful reader let us know that the list of kids who have decommitted from the Gators is actually rated higher than the list of players who are committed.

Let’s check.

Florida’s current commits (11): 5-stars: 0 | 4-stars: 4 | 3-stars: 7 | Total stars: 37 | Average stars: 3.4

Florida’s decommitments (9): 5-stars: 1 | 4-stars: 5 | 3-stars: 3 | Total stars: 34 | Average stars: 3.8

Turns out this is true. Florida’s decommitment list would be rated higher as a class than its commitments, despite having two fewer. That’s because the quality of the players Florida has lost is higher than the commitments it has added.

To be exact, UF’s decommitment class would be rated No. 25 nationally.

Of course, this isn’t entirely fair. Almost all of the decommitments decommitted because they were attached to the prior coaching staff. They did so within a week of Dan Mullen being hired.

Will this last? Almost certainly not. Florida is not going to sign a class outside the top 30. But this factoid is pretty jarring.
