I guess I'm thinking I like what could be our options on the offensive line, the defensive line, and with the linebacking corp - regardless of the configuration of the 2-deep. I like our numbers in those groups. I'm struggling with the secondary and the offensive skill positions. I think we may go back to old school with WRs where we may only see 4 or 5 guys in the rotation, if even that.

Hopefully this new system eliminates the need for a major WR rotation. Keep 3 or 4 guys with the majority of the snaps - and all of them should be able to catch quick outs and bubble screens.

I never understood a big WR rotation no matter what your offense is. I want my best guys on the field as much as possible.

Absolutely. It was the dumbest thing in the world for Jauan Jennings or Marquez Callaway to ever come off the field for more than a snap or two at a time.

And it was equally as dumb to run route progressions that took more than 3 seconds with the limitations on the offensive line.

But the dumbest thing was the amount of wide receivers we recruited compared to the numbers we took at offensive line and defensive line.

Butch!

It would be good if we didn't have to rely on 18 or 19 year olds for the offensive line unless they're generally regarded as a 5-star immediate impact lineman. Age/experience is an important key for the OLine as is the most important unit quality of cohesion. If possible we want our best 5 guys on the field.

I often think the same. That game and the florida game last year derailed us and that is the sign of bad coaching unfortunately.

His teams played hard to the end his first year or two. The later part his teams were as fragile as Robin eggs.

Regurgitated info from a paid site spoken as first hand factual isn’t quite solid info IMO. Just saying.. that authoritative, first hand false insider schtick gets old from LA.

At least just be upfront like Ron and Gucci and not try to act like it’s firsthand knowledge and just simply share info.

Not sure where you're getting your information, but I personally appreciate what LA brings. I am done with the discussion. If you want to have the last word, have at it.

Considering we had NO BODIES on the OL enough to field the O&W Game and he was talented enough to fill in? Says tons about his mentality...he’ll be a starter.

Except he barely even got in the spring game with those limited bodies....he might can start at some point in season heck we don't really have much in his way. Sounds like he is getting his legs back from a post he had recently of hitting a strength goal. That is a good sign

Laughably bad prediction from the media. I really don’t see us being worse than 5-7. We had the worst team in decades last year with a lame duck coach and still could have easily won 3 of our SEC games if a single bounce had gone our way in any one of them.

We may not put a great product on the field this year, but we’ll at least win a couple SEC games and finish higher than 2 others in the east.

Yeah I love Emerson’s upside, but there’s been too much smoke about him needing some time to get to full strength and develop over eh past few months to be ignored.

Luckily with the new RS rule they should be able to put him in some games early in the season, see what exactly he’ll bring to the table, and decide from there.

So back to the War Room. Any idea who?

“Tennessee will potentially exit the dead period with another addition to its 2019 class..”

Not really. Hank had brought up Walter Brady as someone we had been talking to a while back but I recently read article that mentioned Bama getting involved and they have his old DL coach from Mizzu.

I saw some UCLA big timecommit got a release due to UCLA admissions taking too long but sounded like a west coast lifer kid.

Who knows with this staff. Not sure how we fit anyone with our numbers
